He snarled and looked away. Alternate me met my eyes, her green pupils dilating slightly. “What exactly did you see?”

Auren frowned. “You were never supposed to exist either.” “I know.” She threw the system toward him. He caught it. Elara stared. “Why did you do that?” The other Elara looked at her. “Because you're right.” She smiled sadly. “I don't want to be alone anymore.” The system dissolved into silver light. The perfect world began disappearing. The buildings vanished. The perfect sky faded. The alternate versions of everyone disappeared. Only the other Elara remained. Elara looked at her.
