Only through the shift of invisible energy. She nodded and smiled. ‘That's how magic is. Invisible, present, and usable for some. It is a form of energy that you cannot see or touch, ‘he further explained. ‘Well, the latter is not entirely true,’ he corrected himself, ‘you can get pretty hit by magic. Literally and figuratively.’ Maddie laughed at that imagery. He could feel her relax again as he tuned in to her. ‘That's the longest story you've ever told in succession,’ said Maddie, and it sounded a little teasing.

I stay cloaked when in public and never get close to anyone should someone from the Red Moon pack travel into town. The candle on the table suddenly flickers despite there being no windows, and the scent of sandalwood is stronger today for some reason. "Pick a card," I instruct Correy. Magda moves about silently, serving the men the beer she'd concocted the night before with magic. Correy reaches over, and his hand hovers in the air over the line of cards, waiting for his instinct to select one. His finger falls on one, and he pushes it across the table toward me.

Not that Jon had anything to say to her. The day had been taken up by this seemingly fruitless search, until in the dingiest part of the store, in a crumbling red book published in 1900, he found the name. The Book of Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage was filled with weird double-talk, esoteric terms, confusing graphics, and yawn-inducing florid language, but the name was there—as was his invocation.

The air was heavy with anticipation, as if the very fabric of reality was being reshaped before their eyes. Lucifer's voice cut through the silence, his tone cold and detached. "Stop him," he commanded, his eyes fixed intently on me. Without hesitation, four dark-robed magicians emerged from behind him, their movements swift and deliberate. The air was charged with an electric sense of foreboding as if the very fate of the city hung in the balance. The four dark-robed magicians, their bodies aglow with a vibrant sapphire blue mana, unsheathed their swords and charged towards me with deadly precision. Their movements were a blur as if time itself had slowed to accommodate their swift and merc

Too hungry. Killian’s knees still pressed to the cold stone, but the talisman’s burn had faded to nothing. The invisible walls around his magic were gone. His shadows surged at once — a living tide inside him, ready to pour out and choke every light in the room. But that same power… bent toward the First’s pull. Like it recognized the voice. From above, the thudding of boots drew closer — the guild forcing their way down. Harlow’s voice carried, raw and sharp:

“That isn't completely correct Magnus, some pages are written with that ancient spell while others were written in blood.” Magnus looked up to him with a look of horror on his face. “Black magic.” He whispered in horror. Gabriel shook his head slowly. His claw suddenly protruded and he closed his hand in a fist, digging his claws into his soft flesh. Blood spilled out of his hand onto the blank page. The empty page was suddenly illuminated and words ran through the paper out of nowhere. Gabriel looked up at us with a satisfied look on his face. “Gather around.” He said to us while gesturing for us to come closer.

“Everleigh,” she says, starting to shake her head. “Mahl is the one who made magic illegal –“ “You use magic on him every other night!” “And I am a professional,” she says, laying a demure hand on her breast and grinning at me. “You are a rank amateur!” “Oh, come on, Margot!” I beg, dashing for her and dropping to my knees in front of her stool. She blinks at me, surprised. “It will be easy! I did it before with Angeline and it worked so well! He’ll never notice!”

Slowly, I turned back to the last page of the book which was the first page when reading from the druid’s side. After a careful glance at the page which was still blank, I observed that the former words written on it had not disappeared, but instead became less visible. I closed my eyes and drew in a shallow breath as I placed the base of my fingers over it. And just like that, I found the words coming up bold again, and my lips began to read each one of them. Druid magic!

She staggered but recovered after realizing that it didn't hurt. "That's just a projection of the laws of the world." The old magus had his butt on the chair again. The white teeth hidden in the thick white beard showed as he grinned. "Anna's talent in finding things that amuse me is still as excellent as ever. You've killed away my boredom away so this reward is due." Confused, Lili offered nothing but a nod. "Thank you, Lord Magus." Lili's mind churned in the background. Laws of the world? What was that? He won't kill me after this, right? She felt like she had touched a great secret, making her feel clammy.

he said before ending the call. He opened his account and hovered the arrow to open the said mail when another email popped up. His fingers halted as he read the subject: Open this mail if you want to know about Mages. The mail was from an unknown email id, he felt doubts niggling at the back of his mind. Still, he clicked it open. Inside the email, there was an attachment. When he opened it, he was astonished and shocked to find the scanned copy of one of the manuscripts which had supposedly been destroyed centuries ago.
