May pangit na mukha ng isinilang si Banjo Canoy. Makakapal na mga kilay, maitim at busargang mga labi at ang pisngi ay tinadtad ng pimples. Kaya sa kanyang kabataan siya ay tinawag na Mamaw or pinaiklig Halimaw. A face that only a mother can love. Dahil sa itsura ay nilait siya ng mga tao.
