To my Romeo, I am dying

To my Romeo, I am dying

For seventeen years, Josie Callahan and Grayson Locke have been inseparable. Best friends. Neighbors. Each other's first call, first choice, and safest place. The summer before senior year, after years of hiding their feelings, they finally admit the truth. They fall in love. For one perfect summer, everything feels possible. Then, on the first day of school, Josie hears the one word that changes everything. Leukemia. With only months left to live, she makes an impossible choice. Instead of letting Gray watch her die the same way he watched cancer steal his mother two years earlier, she destroys their relationship herself. She rejects him. Breaks his heart. Pretends she never loved him. She'd rather have him hate her forever than mourn her forever. But some lies are impossible to keep. As cruel rumors spread through Cedar Bluff High, old friendships begin to fracture, jealousy turns dangerous, and Josie's secret becomes harder to hide with every passing day. Cast opposite each other as Romeo and Juliet in the school's final production before graduation, Josie and Gray are forced back into each other's lives, even as she fights to keep him at arm's length. The closer Gray gets to discovering the truth, the more desperate Josie becomes to protect him from it. But love doesn't disappear because someone asks it to. And neither does heartbreak. When time is running out, how do you convince the only person you've ever loved to let you go? Especially when he's still fighting for a forever you'll never live long enough to see.

The Heart of a Luna

The Heart of a Luna

Lyric Greyheart spent years living the life everyone expected of her. She was the perfect Luna, perfect daughter, and perfect mate, but behind closed doors, the truth was nothing but blood and heartbreak. Every night, Lyric was forced to endure the agony of her mate's betrayal. And when Lyric finally snapped and invoked an ancient law to break their sacred bond, she uncovered a truth that put her life in danger: her freedom came at a prize almost too big to pay. Forced into hiding, Lyric leaves her pack and the world she was born into. She settles in a quiet coastal town and opens a small ice cream shop, trying to build a life that is gentle instead of brutal. A life without fear, without duty, without eyes watching her womb as if she were nothing more than an incubator meant to bring the next heir into the world. She has no wolf, no pack, and no intention to ever belong to anyone again. Then Noah Locke walks into her shop. He looks nothing like the tourists who usually wander in for soda floats and sundaes. Sharp suit, dangerous presence, eyes that see far more than they should. Lyric doesn’t know who he is or why he feels so familiar, but Noah is the kind of man who doesn't take no for an answer. And he keeps coming back. Asking questions she doesn’t want to even think about. He watcher her like he's been waiting for her his whole life. Lyric escaped a mate who tried to own her, and she has no idea she just crossed paths with a man even more powerful and far more dangerous than her ex-mate. A man, who will burn the world to the ground to keep her from harm

A Crown of Ashes

A Crown of Ashes

Sienna Calder swore she’d never touch her father’s world—Dorian Ashford, shipping mogul and billionaire king, left her mom to rot while he built his empire. She’s there to curse his grave when he dies, not to claim a dime. But his will traps her, naming her co-heir to his $50 billion legacy alongside Roman Valtieri, the brooding, hard-edged protégé who’s clawed his way into Dorian’s shadow—and now into hers. They’re to run the empire together or lose it all, and Sienna hates him for it: too slick, too close, every look a spark she doesn’t want. Then a letter from Dorian’s cold hand ignites the fire—he was murdered, and Roman’s name’s scratched beside the truth. A silver key and a vial of blood—hers, his—drag her deeper, promising answers locked in Ashford estate. But the walls crash in fast: Ezra Locke, a scarred snake with a grin like a blade, wants that key, and he’ll drown the place to get it. Roman’s her lifeline—gun drawn, hands steady, pulling her from the flood—and she loathes how his touch burns, how his voice steadies her when the water’s at her throat. Caught between rage and a pull she can’t name, Sienna fights the heat growing with every near miss—Roman’s too damn solid, too damn close, and she’s torn between shoving him away and pulling him in. The empire’s crumbling, the cliff’s falling, and Ezra’s not the only shadow circling—something darker watches, waiting. Love’s a gamble when blood’s the stake, and Sienna’s playing with a deck her father rigged. Can she trust Roman’s hands to hold her up, or will the crown they’re fighting for crush them both in its ashes?

Pertanyaan yang Sering Diajukan

Rendell's function is honestly way more interesting than a lot of folks give him credit for. At first glance he's the brilliant, morally-compromised patriarch, the one who builds the impossible library and sets the whole sinister game in motion. But the real gut-punch is how he operates as a narrative anchor point for the kids' trauma and their screwed-up inheritance. He's not just a plot device; he's the ghost in the machine, the reason the Locke siblings can't ever truly be a normal family even if they wanted to be.

His absence is his most potent tool. The story keeps peeling back layers of his secrets, each one more disturbing than the last, and it forces you to constantly re-evaluate everything you thought you knew about the family's "legacy." He crafted this gothic puzzle box they're trapped in, and his role shifts from distant father to cult architect to ultimate antagonist, all without him ever being physically present in the main timeline. That lingering, toxic influence is what makes the atmosphere so thick with dread.

For me, the most chilling part is how he embodies the corruption of knowledge itself. The library is this beautiful, terrifying thing, and Rendell is the guy who looked at pure cosmic horror and decided to not just study it, but to weaponize it for his family's ascension. He plays the classic dark-thriller role of the genius who sees further than anyone else and in doing so, loses sight of all humanity. The kids are left cleaning up his apocalyptic mess.
