The Nouveau-Riche Romance Chapter Twenty "Oh! That looks wonderful on you," Kathy said cheerily as she examined Joan dressed in a long green-colored dress. The pair were picking out dresses at Alice house. Alice house is a luxury brand that caters exclusively to women's garment needs, they are also quite expensive. I glanced at the book she was reading, the cover bright and dramatic, with a couple locked in a passionate embrace. My eyebrows shot up and as my gaze drifted to the shelves lining her side of the room, my jaw nearly dropped. If I thought the cover of that one was five percent sexual, then the rest were hundred. Books were everywhere, stacked, lined up neatly, or scattered in small piles.
