Saving Nora Novels & Stories

“So awful. He beat me, and he used me. He drank my blood when he couldn’t find another victim. I had to get away from him, and when I saw the token you gave Clara, I saw my chance.” “Your chance to lie your way into a prince’s bed,” I said. Nora nodded. “I do love you! I would be a good mate, a devoted wife. And I didn’t plan to hurt Clara. I brought her with me! All she ever wanted was to rise in the ranks. I was sure that someone would notice what a good attendant she was to me, and give her the promotion she deserves.” “How generous of you,” I said. Nora shook her head. “I know I did wrong. And… and she’s going to die tomorrow. I can’t let that happen without telling her how sorry I am! P

NOT FOR HIM - FOR HERSELF Nora is sitting on the balcony of the penthouse and she's watching the city below and she's thinking about why she's staying and she's making sure that her reasons are real and that her commitment is genuine and that she's not staying because she's trying to save him or because she's trying to fix him or because she's trying to be the woman who heals the broken billionaire. She's understanding that staying for those reasons would be a betrayal of everything she's learned and everything she's fought for and everything her mother tried to teach her about not diminishing herself for someone else's journey.

Chief Kinn must have kept her there just to make her see the party but not participate fully in it. “As you all have said, I was almost at death’s doorstep but my competent wife here worked hard enough to make sure that I was snatched from its hook. She did save me, she’s my savoir and I have decided to award her with “The savior Luna” title and because she had made it possible for me to be here today, hale and hearty, I will gift her something tangible”, he suddenly began, and my heart suddenly skipped at his words. “He's going to award me? That’s so random and unexpected”, I muttered on my seat.

Stefan rushed to the operating room door. The red words SURGERY IN PROGRESS burned his eyes. Too much information crashed into his mind at once, leaving his brain completely blank. Acting on instinct, he tried to force his way inside. Luckily, a doctor and several nurses passing by stopped him. "Why would she abort it? Why... why would she abort our child?" Stefan's face was pale. One young nurse recognized him and spoke with open contempt. "Aren't you the 'good Samaritan' from the news?"

he says as I nod, entering inside. When I got to his living room, I saw a board with a lot of planning. "What were you doing?" I asked. "Planning to find a way to save Diane," he replied. "But you said you won't," I muttered. "That was a bluff, I bluff all the time, I can't stay with Diane being locked away and I don't know where she is,"he explained. "Beside you and I having that fact, I could simply go and rescue her and come back and you won't know, because to you, it would be as if I went to clear my head," he boasted.

Nora's POV It was finally the day. After weeks of recovery, transformation, and a wedding that had started as a strategy and somehow turned into something I no longer had a clean word for, we were flying back to New York. Tonight was the night I made my comeback. Not as Nora Adams, the woman the world believed had jumped off a balcony in a fit of madness, but as Genevieve Lennox. CEO of Lennox Global and wife of Norman Adams. I sat on the edge of the bed watching Norman fold his shirts and felt the nervousness I'd been pushing down all morning finally crack through.

“I know, it’s just ... I’m afraid Javier will start noticing that something is different about you.” Nora waved it off gently. “Have you forgotten? I’m a theater girl, and I’m talented at acting. It’s just that I love designing clothes more than having to pretend in front of many people for the sake of acting.” Elena gave an embarrassed grin. “So ... what’s your plan next?” “I don’t know.” Nora shrugged. “Besides gathering as much evidence as possible so that when the time comes, they won’t be able to deny it anymore, I also need to make sure of one thing.”

She had worked so hard to keep Freddie from seeing her as a burden or a parasite, so he wouldn’t think she was only spending time with David in hopes of getting money out of him and possibly cutting her off. Norah was vigilant about paying her own way, refusing to take money unless it was a little birthday cash which she invariably spent on groceries, cooking a big enough dinner to fill her stepfather’s freezer with single-serve leftovers. She always invited Freddie to join them if she was planning to see David, never wanting him to think she was going behind his back. She wanted her stepbrother to understand that she really and sincerely cared about... their father… Now whatever progress sh

Nora had missed her friend very much, and no other friendship which she made over the years came even remotely close to what she and Sally shared, so when Sally called her some days ago, telling her that the company she worked for had laid off a lot of workers, including her without an explanation and that she was at a loss as to what to do, Nora did not hesitate before inviting her over. “From your mouth to God’s ears. I hate having to relocate anywhere and start over. Anyway, how have things been with you? You promised to spill the whole tea when we meet in person, and I for one, cannot wait. So, start spilling!” Sally was saying now. Nora had to smile. Sally was such a vibe. “You know how

That night, while the town of Oakhaven slept under a thick blanket of fog, I packed my small duffel bag for the second time in my life. Nora stood at the back door of the bakery, holding a brown paper sack filled with fresh bread, dried fruit, and a thick woolen blanket. She pressed a small envelope of human cash into my palm, squeezing my fingers tightly. "Take the midnight train heading west," Nora whispered, wiping a tear from her cheek. "It goes deep into the mountain towns. Wolves don't like the high silver mines up there." "Thank you, Nora," I sobbed quietly, throwing my arms around her neck and hugging her tightly. "Thank you for everything."
