The Temporary Husband
I never take the ring off, but no one has asked, and I’m not about to offer, lest anyone asks why I’m not living together with him.
Giving up on the gym, I start to head back to the apartment, pausing when I find a coffee shop tucked into the gym. I’d never noticed it before, and before I could stop myself, I’ve stepped through the doors, placing an order for his favorite drink.
I take a seat at the back of the shop to enjoy a connection with him. The second the liquid touches my tongue, it goes right back out.
“What the hell does he enjoy with this??” I mutter, pushing the cup away from me.
