Spicy Hot
A shadow of what she has lived through, of what she has accepted.
I shower, the hot water temporarily soothing the aches. But it can do nothing against the mark. Nothing against the memory of his hands on me. As the soap glides over my skin, I relive every scene. Every order. Every submission. A strange heat, familiar and shameful, begins to smolder in my lower belly. My body remembers, it does. It remembers the pleasure born from pain, the freedom found in surrender.
