She saw a name written on the first page of the book. CLYDE JOHNSON DEL ESPANIA. She couldn't help but smile. What a perfect name for someone as handsome as him. It was as if the name was perfectly made for him. She closed the book and took her time to kiss it before she realized something. She could taste a hint of bitterness at the tip of her tongue. She even licked her lips to make sense of the taste. It was bitter, nothing like she'd ever tasted before. That was when she realized the state of the book just a few minutes before. She hadn't even wiped all of the dirt off her face, and there were still traces of it left on her lips!

I descended the last few steps and approached the island. He pulled out a stool for me, his hand hovering near my waist until I was seated. The smell of the arrabbiata was intoxicating, bright, spicy, and rich. "Eat," he said, hovering over me for a second before taking his own seat. "I put extra chili in. I want to see if you can handle the heat, or if you're just as soft as the tabloids say." I took a bite, the spice hitting the back of my throat instantly. It was searing, painful, and incredible. It forced me to be present. It forced me to feel something other than the hollow ache in my ribs.

A former lodger in the room? I picked up the book, happy that I had found something to do, and lay on the bed, flipping through it. It seemed like a normal college romance, but I quickly found out that it wasn't so. If anything, it was extremely spicy, and I glanced at the cover again, innocent, but its contents were not. I continued reading through, intrigued by the way the characters were portrayed and the more spicy scenes I read, the more strange I felt. Was I getting... Wet?

I guess now I’ll be able to say I went without food for 3 days as well. I pulled one of the books off the shelf, rolling my eyes at the title, “Cooking for the beginner.” I chuckled, “unless you have water dishes in you, you’ll be of no use to me.” I flipped to the first page and began reading. The book was about different herbs and spices that could be used to create soups. Bringing the book over to the desk, I opened the cabinet and began sniffing the contents to identify each one. I wrote them all down on a piece of paper numbered the way I placed them back into the cabinet. I bit of pride bloomed in my chest and Scarlett chuckled, “that was all me, don’t be so proud of yourself.”

I hesitate, glancing at the angry runes still smoking faintly on his chest. "I'll be quick," I promise, pressing a fast kiss to his burning forehead. "Don't move. Please." I slip out of bed and hurry to the kitchen, my new heightened senses making everything feel overwhelming. The fridge light is too bright. The sound of my own footsteps echoes strangely. I crave spice. Plenty of heat. And meat. The juicy, soft kind, oozing with spice. Oh, I can almost taste it. My hands move on autopilot as I throw together the spiciest pasta I can manage with extra chilli flakes, chunks of sausage and beef, garlic, and a heavy drizzle of oil. The smell hits me like a drug, making my mouth water and my stom

The girl in the book was officially snowed in at a remote cabin with her hot, brooding not-uncle and his even hotter sons. It was chaotic, messy, probably deeply inappropriate—and I was all in. I’d just hit the chapter with the spicy scene. You know the one. A fireplace. A blizzard. Tension so thick it needed a crowbar. I took a long sip of my lavender drink and sank deeper into the fantasy. This? This was exactly what I needed.

He was staring at the view outside but I know his mind are on her. " I wish I have just like you." ### " Do you eat spicy foods?" Zeke asked me. We are now at the spicy restaurant and of course they serve spicy dishes. I love spicy foods. When I was young, I eat chillies as my hobby. "Of course! " I answered right away. There's also a grilled chili with mayo and a fried meat. My mouth became so watery as I imagined eating them.
