I sip my drink lightly, and my eyes nearly water—the burning liquid hugs my throat like hot coals, sliding to my stomach like bile. After twenty minutes, Sam’s face is blurred, Mark’s laughter echoes in my ears, and I feel a delicious happiness slipping between my teeth, my reddened eyes. “I’ll put on music,” Sam shouts, dragging the words firmly, standing and walking confidently toward the huge speakers. “Let’s play, forget the cards in the game,” Mark interrupts, looking up. “One question for the winner and a challenge for the loser,” he adds, firm but imprecise. “My turn.”

One Night Mistake

One Night Mistake

“Your turn, Stick Girl.” She nodded briefly before asking her question. “Favorite sport?” “Lacrosse.” Sebastian yawned. “Lacrosse.” “Lacrosse.” Michael looked disgusted by his three friends’ choice in sports. “You guys suck. Swimming, hands down.” “I should have known,” Taliana replied as she kicked her feet up onto the coffee table. “Every certified east coast prep plays lacrosse. And let me guess, you’re the captain, aren’t you, Seb?”

Keeping Score

Keeping Score

"And eww. I don't want to think about parents and making out and-just no." So Leo and I had the house to ourselves as we watched the day's football highlights. We were on the sofa, and Leo had his knee propped on the coffee table, covered with an ice bag. I lay with my head on his lap, drowsy from the day and the intoxicating warmth coming from the fire I'd started in our fireplace. "Tate did well today. Check that out." Leo turned up the volume a little as the stats from the Philadelphia-San Diego game rolled across the bottom of the screen. "They won, too."

I loved this book, it touched me deeply. Beautifully written, characters & situations are well described and the story gave meaning to deep feelings that arrise from difficult situations many people face in their lives. I would certainly read more books by this author.

Such a great book! Hands down one of the best I’ve read on here to date. I went through all the emotions reading Mia and Leo’s story…I laughed, cried and got mad at some point through their journey of friendship, love and growth. Definitely give this book a read!

Stay

Stay

Ailee is in a long-distance relationship with Kim Yong and I was just trying to bury myself in the books. Ailee chose Journalism, Luke is doing mechanical engineering and Annabelle is doing business management, we are just praying that she will make it out alive. It became a habit to visit his grave and talk about everything that was going on. I would always sit back to back with his grave and talk non stop. I think it made me feel like he was still involved in my life.

Barry whined but Marvin simply smiled at him before looking at us. "What is it?" That's the first sentence that ever came out from Kevim tonight. I hope there will be more. I'm still actually confused as to why he didn't choose to study Psychology with me and Mike. He is a good observer and also quite a good listener. He can be a really good Psychologist if ever but then, he chose to study Sports Science and I'm dying to know how is he able to handle the craziness of Barry and Marvin. Bet he had a lot of migraine just by listening to these two's conversation. As to Mike, well we simply connect and compliment each other. He can easily get what I'm thinking and

THE GAME

THE GAME

So he picked a number among the ten piece of paper on the floor. And then, he spin the bottle, it roll and roll and gently stopped. It was facing Kelly I gasped...and watched anxiously. He opened the paper and spoke. "I picked number 3." He voiced out... Tala smiled and looked at the paper she was holding..."number three is, remove three things from your partners body." She said and smiled What? I gasped... No! This is not a game anymore i thought. It surprised me to the core when I saw Kelly standing up and the guy was moving closer to her.

When I read books by this author they always play like a movie in my head. The details, the setting, the characters and the story line all flow so well. Such a talented writer. I am absolutely looking forward to reading "Jericho". Keep up the great work.

Pulled an all nighter, because I cannot stop reading, started with Gunnar, then Ace now I am finishing this back to back read-a-thon with Jericho. Outstanding job author is a understatement, thank you for writing an awesome trilogy.

Sluttiness is not something a girl wakes up and decides to do. Its not a life choice a person just picks up like a career... Being a slut shocks even the slut, i would know, why? Because I'm a slut. Anyways, like I said, you dont just plan to become a slut, all you have to do is watch sports and drool over the hot players on the field. There’s just something about football players that really turns my clock, you know? I mean, they work out religiously, they understand discipline, and, if they’re any good, they work well as a team.

Building the foundation of something that felt genuinely sustainable. The leather of the couch was cool against my back, but everything else in the room was burning. Eli was a heavy, solid weight pressing me down into the cushions, his hands framing my face like I was the only thing in the world that mattered. I could feel the ragged rhythm of his breathing against my neck, a hot, steady pulse that matched the frantic drumming in my own chest. "You have no idea," he rasped, his voice vibrating deep in his throat. He pulled back just enough to look me in the eye, and the intensity there was staggering—a mix of raw hunger and something so fiercely protective it made my breath hitch.
