Lori stop the car on the side of the road. Lori takes a U-turn as they went to the intersection on the way to the Airport, Patty knows where they will be heading. Usually, when they were both sad or their parents scold them because they love to sneak going to the famous bar of Moover City, The Bros. They both went here to release their tensions. Two days later, I was still shaking from the encounter with Uncle David. I was beyond shocked by it all. Is it me that is this? After I thought all hope was gone for me and I would die in my prostitution business, my life started making more meaning. I have enrolled at Brainstorm centre to undergo my tutorials. It was located at the Military zone in Ejigbo. I was scared I wouldn't be able to meet up as a student and a mother. Now, those fears looked unfounded, thanks to Uncle David. He sent his daughter to babysit Success. Jasmine is a very good girl, though her heritage couldn't be hidden. She is a white girl. The way she treats Success as her younger sister places me at ease.

“We should celebrate tonight. Your favorite takeout, some wine just the two of us. What do you say?” I nodded. “Sounds perfect.” She smiled again and backed toward the door. “I’ll let you have a moment. But hurry downstairs soon or I’m starting without you.” I laughed, and when the door shut behind her, I sat back down slowly. My laptop still sat open beside me, the email glowing. I’d be starting school in two months. Moving into a dorm. Joining a campus full of strangers who didn’t know me, who didn’t see me as just someone’s daughter or stepsister.

I was immediately welcomed by loud noise — the lights dimmed, everyone dancing, hugging, smooching, grinding like they typically should. “Remi!” Maddox — Raphael’s brother — called out immediately. Our eyes locked and my smile widened. Only… he looked pale. Maddox always found me; we were best friends. I’d been close to his brother and he was my stepbrother’s best friend, so we clicked quickly.

His figure was towering and intimidating. "Em…hey mum…em..” I said with an awkward smile. I saw Hermes turned the second he heard me stammer through the greeting, something flickering across his face before he caught it. “Come on honey." Celeste was already moving toward me before he could say anything. "Do you need something, sweetheart?" "I wanted to talk to my stepdad. Hermes.” I kept my eyes on him, not her. I kept contact with him longer than I intended.

Stephen said. “My only chance was Rose, Steph,” I said, closing the window. “Boss, We reached,” Brendon said once we reached my pant house. “I will meet you for lunch,” I said to Steph, leaving the car. “Make sure everything should be delivered to school at the time and whatever school agreed with help,” I said once I reached the pant house. “Yes Boss” Brendon nodded at the door. “Your room,” I asked. “I stay on thirty floors,” He said, and I nodded.

First it was Dad and now Jordan. Next it'll be Zoe stepping out 'for a while' leaving me to bear the weight of their unclear whereabouts like the stay at home guy I'd turned out to be. "You should just take up the offer with Mason's Dad." The tiny voice in my head advised but I shut it down. I stood at the top of the stairs with both hands in my pocket and I watched her proceed further down the stairs with her hoodie she threw over her head till I couldn't see her again after she slipped out through the door.

“Noticed that he checked the brakes,” Moose said. “You’d think he’d trust a couple of trustworthy-looking guys like us.” I handed Moose a hundred dollars. “What’s this?” he asked. “A bonus for doing a good job today,” I said. “What do you think he’s going to do when he hears that tape you put in the car?” Moose asked.
