Waiting for her to continue the story. "Oh, where were we again? Uhh. . . Yeah your mom, your dad and your cousins." She sighs heavily. "But let's just talk about your mom and dad first. Oh this story will take forever!" she continued, and took another bite of fruit berries I don't know the name of. "I dare you to tell her the stories in one week," Grandpa says finishing to drink his coffee.

Charlene smiled at him and pulled out the Jack and the beanstalk storybook. “Alright, just one story.” She opened the book and started to read. Five minutes into the book, Harry fell asleep and Charlene kissed him goodnight before walking out of the room. Just outside, she bumped into Veronica who was just passing by and they both exchanged glares. “What are you still doing here? You best friend is gone.” Charlene fired.

I laugh, watching as Lia begins to take the first movie – Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone. I movie full of magic and a revolution at the end. Seems fitting to what I am dealing with right now. “What the other option?” Sky asks, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and pressing a kiss on my forehead.

I was dressed in a comfortable summer dress and the flowers in my hair made me look like some kind of creature from a fairy tale. I met with the children who were all excited about grabbing a piece of cake and joining me for story time. Each year, I read them the story about the dragon king and the werewolf princess falling in love. I thought they would eventually get bored with the book, but they never did. Each year, all the children would gather around me and wait eagerly to hear the story.

“Hey… about what you saw earlier.” She jumped, clutching the book to her chest. “I—I didn’t see anything. I swear. I won’t tell anyone.” I smiled softly and stepped even closer, backing her gently against the shelves. “Relax. Professor Harlan and I… we have an understanding. But I saw how you looked at us. You didn’t run away because you were scared. You ran because it turned you on, didn’t it?” Her cheeks burned brighter. She shook her head quickly. “No… that’s not… I’m not—”

There was one solitary, big book on a low table between them. "The title of the tale is The Binding of Autumn," he began, his voice an entrancing whisper just in harmony with the shriek of the fire. “It's the tale of a harvest god who offers a mortal woman a choice: one night of absolute freedom for one year of unimaginable riches for her people." He didn't move as his eyes met hers. "The consent is the matter at hand. It must be freely bestowed, not coerced, and whispered three times into the skin of his throat." “Do you have any idea what sort of story you're going to be reading me tonight?”

I thought for a moment, then it came to me, my favorite bedtime story had always been Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. “Harry Potter?” I asked. “That’s it. I thought you’d forgotten,” he said with a soft smile. But I couldn’t help wondering what did my childhood bedtime story have to do with that room? “So, let’s say... what if what’s in that room is actually the Philosopher’s Stone?” he asked, and I almost laughed out loud. This old man is really trying to mess with my head. “So you’re trying to tell me that what’s in that freaking room is the Philosopher’s Stone?” I asked, grinning.

Just three books out of all these eye-catching feasts before me? I wish I could buy the whole shelf because there were wide varieties of books also the books I wanted to read so badly which had been stuck on my wish list for years. I could see the Harry Potter series pocking out of the fantasy section; my all-time favorite book. But I had already read them back home so it's a waste of time. I also saw Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books to my left which excitingly was the crime and thriller section, I had almost read all of them too. I
