I got up eventually to make coffee, still shirtless, hair a mess. Sloane watched from the bed, knees drawn to her chest, a sleepy grin playing on her lips.
“You know,” she said, teasing, “for a professor, you make a mean cup of coffee.”
“I have my skills,” I said, handing her a mug.
“Some of which I’ve learned firsthand,” she replied, smirking.
I laughed, shaking my head. “You’re trouble.”
“Only the good kind.”
