Students Of The Year 2 Novels & Stories

There were students far more ambitious than I was, students who seemed to compete for every grade, every internship, and every opportunity available. Then Professor Langley looked up. "The two students selected this year are Ethan Walker..." Applause immediately broke out across the room. Ethan grinned from two rows ahead, looking pleased but not particularly surprised. Neither was I. He was brilliant. "...and Elara Sinclair." For a moment the entire room seemed to blur. My name. I blinked once. Then again. Surely I had heard wrong. Beside me, several heads turned in my direction while a few students began clapping enthusiastically, but I remained completely still, staring at Professor Langl

ROWAN’S POV The academy has been buzzing with whispers in the hallway since the past weeks because of the final match and who would win the Alpha of the Year title. Students stood in clusters around the ranking board every morning as if staring at it long enough would make it change. It never did. #1 — Elias. #2 — Rowan. Elias's position was unshaken and untouched no matter how everyone targeted him during the matches. They kept wondering if Elias would really write history by being the first ever first year student to win the title.

Solara’s Pov I didn’t feel like coming so I was a little undressed. Over the years I have won the award as the best student in my faculty — medicine and herberlife, which is a broad department. This year happens to be the first time the awards for the best student in school at large will be awarded. It was something exciting right— but yet I didn’t want to attend.

They got crazy over his low, intimidating voice. He continued “And remember, if anyone asks, you learned everything from my tweets.” The crowd erupted in applause, he waved his hand, dropped the mic, standing beside the head of department. The head of the department stepped forward, and we all lined up to receive our degrees. First, Olivia was awarded Student of the Year for securing first place across the entire university. Emma and I took pictures of her, smiles on our face, as the applause echoed around us. Then it was Emma’s turn. She walked up, calm and confident, and received her degree.

If this nonsense continued without a reasonable explanation, I was out of here. Except for Annie, the other band members made their way to the stage at some point, filling the auditorium with more applause than usual. It seemed they were more popular than I had thought. Nicolas smiled at me as he passed by to return to his seat. The calmness on his face suggested nothing was wrong, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of discomfort. As soon as the last category was announced, the Alpha himself took the microphone. "As usual, the school with the highest score receives the 'Highlight of the Year' award. I’m proud to announce Siram as the grand winner, and who better to present this award than our

March of 2007 came, the students had finished all their required discussions and their final examinations. The summer vacation after their ten-month school year was to start tomorrow. On the last day of classes, the teachers announced the date of the recognition program and the academic achievers in the morning. The recognition program is celebrated annually at their school to recognize those who have performed excellently in their academics; the date is usually set two weeks after the official last day of their classes. The academic achievers would climb the stage as their educators announced their achievements. The student would get one medal for each of their achievement. In their school,

But there are also kids who aren't that smart but are responsible enough to get a good grade. Section B is where the average students are. There are also smarts kids in this section but not that many. They are basically the group of students who can relax and have good grades at the same time. Section C is....well, they mostly consist of slackers who have an almost decent grade. Smart kids are rarely seen in this section. Each year level is also represented by a specific letter. F for the freshman, S for the sophomores, J for the juniors, and S for the seniors.

Every year since the beginning of the Olympiad in 2011, up to a thousand students register in each category and from this number, only the top 54 performing students are chosen from each category. Ayo has never seen so many students before when she stepped into the examination hall. According to what she heard, this year is the first time the number of registered students will exceed 1000 in each category. If she wasn’t scared before, she was now. To be among the 54 selected in more than 1000 in the junior category would be a tough task, she thought. She couldn’t help but imagine ‘What if I don’t qualify? Would I have to wait two more years when I get to SS 2? Would I be given another opport

Final year students like us don't learn because this whole year is occupied with notes and practicals together with enough free time to read for the exams. Special well behaved students are given authorities at this level to control other students or as we like to call it 'Rule the School'. Most idiots struggle to get this position by all means but a girl like me who hates attention doesn't give a shot about that. ******* SENIOR YEAR.. "Hey baby," Tony spoke, giving me a kiss on the cheek and if you think we would be dating by now then am sorry to disappoint because we are not. He's got eyes for only one girl *can you guess?*.

It was already for prize giving for overall best students in each class. My heart kept skipping as they drew to my class. "For SS2, the best in science ... Halimat Abubarkar!" Omg! She overtook Cynthia!! I really love the competition style in their class. "For SS2 commercial class, Jadesola Jackson!" New student! What a slap to other students in the class. "For SS2 Arts class, ... Blake Anthony!" My heart raced up and fell back with a loud thud. It shattered into ions as everyone applauded him as he walked to the stage as if he was for one irrelevant thing.
