They pause and linger on my bare legs- I’m in a loose, long-sleeved navy cotton dress, and while it’s not the cutest thing I own it’s comfortable as hell. From Jax’s hungry gaze, he seems to approve.

Marcus was yelling directly into my ear. Across the floor, Jax was being dragged backward by two of the offensive linemen. His jersey was completely shredded down the front, a dark red smear of blood trailing from his nose down to his chin. His shorts rode low on narrow hips, and when he turned to mess with the speakers, I couldn’t stop my eyes from dropping to the way the fabric cupped his ass. Firm. Round. Powerful.
