Till Your Last Breath
The moment the words left my mouth, a spark of surprise lit up in Jim's eyes.
A smile tugged at the corners of his lips, as if he had finally made it through the storm and seen the sun again. "Alright, deal. Don't you dare back out."
He didn't ask a single question. As we brushed past each other, he leaned in close and murmured, "Be good and wait for me."
Then he left in a hurry, excitement practically radiating from his back as he disappeared out the door.
