I asked once again holding my breath. “What did you mean when you said you reject me?” she asked me catching me off guard. I realized I needed to discreetly reverse my rejection to ensure she did not accidently accept it. That would be irreversible and devastating for both of us. “I rescind my rejection and accept you,” I said quickly to her. As I did, I felt the bond between us become secure.
