ISABELLE’S POV I flip the page of the book with the help of my left hand. The name of the book which I am currently reading is “The tales of Ash Ville”. It is a nice book and it includes the horror stories of the town. It is a fictional book but I like it and has captured my attention. I found this in the library a few weeks back and I thought to read it. Today I saw it in the books which I had not read so I decided to read this one.

“They’re not even real, Sades.” Vida reached for the bookmark inside the pocket of her Burn’s Bar uniform and carefully placed it in between the pages. She took a deep breath and replied. “I know that. I’m just interested about their lives being a demigod, you know?” She knew that Tessa was genuinely curious as to why she was so invested in this book. Nobody actually really knows the real reason behind why she loves to read aside from Tessa. It was her escape from reality. Something she can call home whenever she hops from one apartment to another.

It was a brave move that I couldn’t help but admire. Tessa finally looked up from the journal and closed it in her lap. She looked at me for a moment longer, without saying a word, and then handed the journal back. I wasn’t going to ask her what she thought. I already knew. “Thank you for showing me those,” she said with a tone that was uncertain. “That was such raw emotion. I wasn’t expecting that from a fantasy author.” “I’m full of surprises,” I said in return. “As are you.”

Tessa wiggled her eyebrows. “Why?” “So I can have inspiration for my next book.” She shrugged. “I’m thinking of writing a reverse harem next.” I scoffed, shaking my head. “So you’re going to use my life as your inspiration?” “Bingo.” “And how many percent will I get from your revenue?” Lila laughed. “She has been a lot more money-minded since she became a boss.” I opened my mouth to speak, but my phone buzzed with a text, distracting me from the current conversation at hand.

He draw nearer to her, towering over her little frame. She wasn’t gonna cower away from him this time, no. She looked up and stared straight directly at him, to the windows of his soul. It was now or never. “I dare you, Alpha Andrin.” She spoke with authority in her voice, “I dare you to fall in love with a useless dormant wolf like me.” They held their stare, both stubborn enough to not look away. Their breaths mingled from the close proximity but not once did they thought of pulling away. They were testing and challenging each other.

I want to find her and give her a warm hug.” Tessa froze. Her pencil hovered above the page. Her chest tightened in disbelief. She hadn’t bothered to check the traffic and reader’s demographic. She just wrote and published each day and moved on to her paintings. Maybe it was a small fear and disbelief that she was still not good enough and that nobody would like her work. I approached her gently. “Tessa, right?” She looked startled that I remembered. “Yeah.” “I saw your portfolio,” I said softly. “There’s something special in your work. You’ve got bold instincts. But it needs shaping. Time.” Her expression didn’t change. “So I’m not good enough yet. That’s what you’re saying.”
