THIRD PERSON POV Eliza released a loud screech, almost like a battle cry, before she charged at the hugging couple. Because of Miranda's werewolf senses, she was the first to notice the she-wolf jumping towards them. She tried to shove Nigel out of the way, but it was a little too late. The she-wolf's foot caught Miranda's chin as her talons scratched at the skin, the force was like a kick to the face, sending her back hitting the bench.

Ember is smaller but fast, she fights as good as her mother, they look stunning. I am so mesmerised by my mate I don’t realise that there is a witch behind me. The burning starts from within as she chants. I hear her howl as I drop to my knees, I don’t take my eyes off Ember. I grit my teeth, fists clenched as I feel my blood boiling in my veins. She looks around until she spots me, her stunning wolf, Ember stalks towards me with blood on her muzzle. Her eyes are on me but the minute she shifts back my breath is taken from my body, she's beautiful.

I shouldn't be seen in my underwear. Throwing my head back in frustration, I sigh heavily, lamenting the sudden turn my life has taken in a matter of days. Before I can dwell on it further, Ember interrupts my thoughts by hurling something in my direction. Thanks to my werewolf reflexes, I narrowly avoid being struck. With a quick turn, I step out of the room, Ember's enraged screams echoing behind me as I make my hasty exit.

Dammit, my vagina is getting my brain sidetracked. I attempt to talk things out with her, but she's not listening. The idea of being with our mate temporarily is really hurting our wolf. Ember is a rational wolf; she always considers her words before speaking unlike her human counterpart who speaks first and thinks later. All she desires is what every wolf desires. Their mate. Fed up with the situation, I let out a growl of frustration towards her.
