I was only too glad all the batches of Exceva had been shipped out to the various ports. I turned to Kelly who lingered behind me in silence. "What is the situation with Exceva?" "As we speak, they're being shipped off exactly as you planned, to thirteen different countries." I nodded. I had been tracking the progress. From the windows, I noticed the sky had begun to lighten. My staff would soon be here. There was only one thing left to do. I turned to Kelly, who almost bumped into me from behind. "Call everyone and inform them there won't be any work today. Get the cleaning crew in here. Savage anything you can and bring it back to the office."

LILY POV I ran into my apartment, and my shaking hands caused me to fumble with the keys. I felt an increased heartbeat, and a jolt that was similar to seeing a ghost. No, worse than a ghost. Isaac. He was back, and he owned the entire Equinex Company and Equinex Lab was just a part of it. I had walked right into his territory without even realizing it. How could I have been so blind?

I had been so busy going through Dad’s papers that I hadn’t looked at the work app in days. “I’ll take care of it right now, Carter. I promise.” “Good. More than twelve old jobs with addresses passed across my screen, each marked in green to show I had seen them. Next to each one was a green check mark. One section was marked as completed jobs. But at the bottom, one job was outlined in green with a red “X” beside it. There was also no technician assigned to it.
