Anger began rising in Cordy's chest as she said in a low voice, "Behave like a patient that you're supposed to be! Why are you acting tough? Is your wound infected, which might have made you feel hot?!" "I don't feel hot!" Lucas said agitatedly. "Feel hot as in having a fever!" Cordy nearly stomped her foot in frustration. Why was Lucas being so difficult? "I don't have a fever either." Lucas remained unconvinced. Cordy took a deep breath as she told herself not to count it against a patient, especially one who fell sick because of her. She pressed the call bell. "We need some help here. The patient seems to be running a fever."

He concludes and in a matter of seconds slides of the bed and leaves through the door. I rest my hand on my heart that beats like a beast caged within my ribs. What is this fever?

She said to Sam, “98.4 degrees Fahrenheit. The fever is gone.” Sonny had just sweated all over. She guessed his fever had gone away.

It beeped, and the reading popped up: 37.1°C.

Quietly retracting the blanket, Mia whispered to Genevieve, "Honestly, I'm fine. There's no need for any treatment." In response, Genevieve aimed a thermometer at her and commented, "Your temperature is 39 degrees Celsius. Are you sure you're fine?" Mia's expression turned somber.
