The General's Homecoming Novels & Stories

We had not just survived our story. *** The homecoming was not a fanfare, but a quiet, profound reintegration. Arthur moved back into the house, and the silence that had been so oppressive was now filled with the comfortable, familiar sounds of our life together—the rustle of his newspaper, the clink of his coffee cup, the soft hum of his presence in the next room. The peace felt deeper now, hard-won and infinitely more precious.

With that, I pushed my employer's wheelchair inside. The General’s room was luxurious as expected. It had a one-tiered chandelier, a red carpeted floor, cream white-painted walls, expensive-looking furniture, and damask curtains. It didn’t have glass walls like the outside lobby though, but it had casement windows where sunlight spilled in. "This will do,” Mr. Windstorm remarked after a few short movements of his head. Somehow, he didn’t sound impressed. I, on the other hand, gulped. Us sharing a room? How freaking convenient. I knew Uncle James was innocent about this, but the General? It was obvious this was planned, and I fell right into it.

Kyrie felt his throat burning with desire. The temptress before him was playing hard to get, but there was no way she was not interested in him. She was just being a little playful, and it seemed he would need to bring out his best moves to win her over. He said, "Miss, maybe you don't realize who I am. I'm not just a Major General in the military, I'm also from the Harding family." He revealed his identity, feeling confident that everything was now in the bag.

The entire house felt overwhelming, and the old man across from me had once been a five-star general—his presence still carried that weight! William sipped his coffee and spoke casually. "So, I hear your family's been through some troubles."

There is always a ‘but’. “The other girls who work here talk. Apparently, she had always been something of a weepy girl, wrapped up in her own little world. But once the General came home, she changed and seemed to get stronger, less emotional. She no longer cried herself to sleep and seemed capable of standing up to her father - something she had never been able to do before he left.” “Where was the General stationed before he came home?” Amun asked. “Japan,” I answered. “He was in charge of a lot of different things, including dealing with crimes against the Japanese by the allied occupation forces.”

he said. "You cook?"I asks curiously. "I have bitches"he said and I scoff. What a gut. "You invite them into your home?" "Actually you are the first lady to be here"he said but I find it difficult to believe. "How the hell do you survive?" "I don't stay here. I stay in the general house"He said. "General?" "The house we just left is what I call the general"he said and I nod. "Oh so why did you bring me here and you haven't even agree to my terms so I have to return home"I said.

“What good is it for them to survive the war if they end up killing themselves? Because they were not satisfied, grace was replaced by a curse.” I lowered my gaze. "Then , General, is that really just a legend?" “Yes, it is a legend because it cannot be determined whether it happened or not. It's just a story of an old man who was definitely one of the survivors during the world war. ” I nodded. “Maze. . . ” he called me. "Why, General?" I replied. "This is your new home." He pointed the home I had seen before. I never thought he would give me a home.

He said leading the way to the royal villa while eliminating each who would interfere in their way easily, until they both reached the villa's door. Inside the villa, Butler Kessel who was standing near the door waiting for the bride to come in was already pissed that the bride hasn't shown up yet. He immediately frowned upon seeing the doors pushed open by someone and was ready to scold the bride for being late, but shock covered his face instead. "G-Ge.... The General has returned! Victory for Arcland!" He happily announced while the guests also leaped out of their seats to take a peek of what this infamous general looks like.

a voice barked. Zane jolted upright, his wig nearly slipping sideways. His instincts made him reach for a gun he didn’t have. His hand twitched toward his hip before he remembered it was a sword, not a pistol. He didn’t even know how to use this one. Wrong century. Wrong life. Standing in the doorway was Kim Insoo, captain of the guards, his brows knotted, chest heaving like he’d just run across the palace. His sharp eyes swept across the room, landing squarely on Dr Tae.

Something told me that it was an army or something coming towards the library. I looked at him, “expecting someone?” He smiled. “No, no, I’m not.” I stood up to my feet quickly. “If this is you trying to set me up…” He shot to his feet, the smile fading away. “I’m not expecting anyone. So whoever is coming through that door is clearly not from me.” I rolled my eyes at him. The door suddenly burst open as a war general stepped in. I knew that he was a war general from his uniform and from the way he carried himself. He looked around and then saw the elder as he bowed.
