[Zane’s POV] Wham! My fist connects with the bag in front of me, sending ripples racing up my arm and into my body. Whack! Another blow lands, followed by another and another, until I’m in the zone. Huff, huff, huff. My breath comes out in puffs, one out as I strike and one in as I pull back. The cadence helps clear my head and ease the beast that is deep within, wanting to escape, but no amount of hits or exertion erases her face from my mind.

Sharp and unapologetic. “This area isn’t open to public access,” he said. “Step away from the panel.” Ah. There it was. The underestimation. Every single time. Something inside me cooled into focus. “Mmm. My clearance begs to differ,” I replied evenly. His gaze sharpened. Not surprised. Annoyed. “You shouldn’t be touching things that don’t belong to you.” “I wasn’t,” I said. “I was observing.” He stepped closer. The space between us tightened. I became aware of details I didn’t need to be aware of. The way his attention didn’t wander. The way his weight was balanced. The faint scent of freshly laundered clothes and something darker beneath it.

I didn’t hear it – I almost forgot that I should be deaf! I take back my baseball bat and smash its head. It takes 4 full strenght smash to die, I now realize why they called it a zombie. Every city in the world has an Island, which contains monsters. Did… the Island in this area not yet clean? No, it should be clean! Before facing Nathan, we made sure that all areas is cleaned.

Her body flipped at the last possible second, allowing herself to springboard the moment that her feet hit the ground. A wave of energy was shoved at her grandmother from below her. It hit the target, throwing her body into the shield. Unfortunately, it was not before she had been able to get off a good blast of her own. It struck Ziyah’s shoulder.

From the right side of the neutral zone, Miller was skating forward at maximum speed. Miller was our heaviest defenseman, a beast of an Alpha who lived for the chance to separate an opposing forward from his senses. He saw Elliot flagging. He saw that the Wolves' star winger had his head down, his posture completely vulnerable as he reached for the puck near the boards. It was the perfect setup for a devastating, blind-side hit that could end his season. Miller lowered his shoulder, his eyes tracking Elliot’s ribcage as he prepared to launch his bulk across the ice.
