The Alpha King's Bride

The Alpha King's Bride

She had nothing to do at home and she was sure Lyla wouldn't talk to her throughout the entire day and as for her mother, she would prefer to stay far away from her until her father finally returns. She let out a sigh, stood up, walked towards her door and locked it. She squatted down, stretching her hand underneath her bed to reach the book she had carefully hidden there. After much struggle she was able to reach the book. Her lips curved into a sly smile, holding the book so preciously in her hand. She laid on her bed, admiring the book. She had bought this book back then to know more about what happens between a man and a woman during their wedding night. Surprisingly, it wasn't only a bo

THE BROTHER'S BET

THE BROTHER'S BET

I couldn't help but feel out of place, like a pawn in a game of wealth and privilege. We were soon ushered into a lavish sitting room, adorned with expensive furnishings and tasteful artwork. The woman of the house, Madam Amelia, entered the room with an air of confidence and elegance. Her designer attire and perfectly coiffed hair exuded wealth and power. It was clear she was used to being in control. "Well, well, what do we have here?" Madam Amelia remarked, her voice dripping with condescension. "Another college graduate reduced to working as a maid. How unfortunate for you."

Painted Pearls

Painted Pearls

She had wondered privately if the stink of the city alone could coerce her to follow her husband’s command to stay indoors, though she considered it highly unlikely. As she had paused to examine the books lining the shelves, the faint beginnings of her good humour had fled. The titles on the spines leered down at her, the jagged lettering contriving rotten faces of their own. Woman and Sin, they read. The Keeping of a Good Wife. Accomplishments Acceptable in the Female Gender.

The Confession

The Confession

said the maid before slipping out of the room living Roslyn alone. “They’re back malady.” Said the maid the moment she walked back into the room. Roslyn dropped the book she was holding on the book shelve. “Oh well, I’ll go see her right away.” She bends down and picked the bucket and the mop and shuffle her way out of the room with Mercy following closely behind. When they got to the seating room, the maid voluntarily reached out her hand for the mop and bucket Roslyn was holding. Roslyn thanked her and made her way to Tess’s room.

Accidentally Married To My Ex's Uncle

Accidentally Married To My Ex's Uncle

He called and I shot him a smile. "Thank you," I mumbled, fully aware that this maid was watching me keenly. I linked my hands with his and we trekked into the house together. My jaw dropped when I walked into the house and saw the interior. It was splendid! I wouldn't have ever thought that there was a bigger way of designing a living room. This was three times larger than my house, even my parents' home. "Your house is nothing but humble." "I don't think so."

Rejected By The Alpha I Hate

Rejected By The Alpha I Hate

She was looking at me like I was a bit different and I wouldn’t understand why she was looking at me that way but I was sure I have something to figure out. I called her back and stare at her in the face. I was so sure she is more than just a mere maid she appears as. I start to feel discomfort and all of my body was shaking. Thank God I didn’t faint it would have been a different story but with this that I have witnessed, I know try that the house still have some things that her unclean and that maid has one of it.

HOUSE OF WITCHES

HOUSE OF WITCHES

Hayley said. “I want to see them, and kick some ass.” Wendy let out. “You don't want to, they are pretty powerful...” Hayley said with a grin, and they chortled. Witches almost escaped her lips, but thank heavens she didn't say the word. Earnestine drove into the house with Wendy and Hayley in the car. She had gone to pick them up from school after she left Erin's shop. Wendy loved what she saw, the house was really beautiful, the fence, the green grasses, and of course the corridor. She imagined what the inside would look like. Wendy widened her eyes in astonishment when they took a step into the house, she couldn't believe her eyes, but this house was virtually like heaven. If Only He Knew | cσмρℓεтε∂

I shook my head, I never really had problems with his room or cleaning before. What, I had a problem with was his insensitivity! I picked up a discarded book. Reading its title 'My mistress', my mind began searching for scenes which could be in the book before collecting others and placing them carefully on his shelf. I took his vacuum cleaner and started to clean every corner of the room, placing his discarded stuff to where it belongs, and dusting his couch and table cloth. He used to have a maid in the house, but since they all were still young, he gave them salaries early so they could complete their education. Even if he was cranky and feisty from outside, I knew he had a big heart, a v

This book is so good, it makes you want to laugh, keeps you at suspense and makes you emotional at the same time. Loved the characters, each have drastic original personalities. Though the book started kind of simple and too cliche at first, it turned out to be one of my favorite reads on GoodNovel!

The Unwritten Vow

The Unwritten Vow

She passed by a library with towering bookshelves, a lounge with an elegant fireplace, and even a private gym. Despite its beauty, the house felt empty. Then, as she was passing by one of the side corridors, she overheard something that made her pause. “She’s really living here now?” a maid whispered. “I still can’t believe it,” another replied. “Mr. Remington actually brought a woman home.” “I know! After what happened years ago, I thought he’d never let another woman into his life,” a third maid chimed in. Another maid sighed. “She’s beautiful, but do you really think she’ll last here? Mr. Remington isn’t exactly the affectionate type.”
