Finally, after endless, torturous intensity, I found release, and my hands clutched him, pulling him close as if to anchor me to him.
The bed sheets were tangled, the air smelled like sweat and tension, and the red camera light had finally gone dark, or maybe it just didn’t matter anymore.
I rolled over as I laid on my side, facing the wall, breathing slow. Damien stood up, running his hand through his hair. His voice broke the silence.
“Goodnight.”

I turned sharply, sitting up on the bed. “Goodnight? Just like that?”
He looked over his shoulder, calm, almost detached. “Yeah. That’s what people say when they’re done talking...or doing whatever this was.”
