Mr Matias grew bitter. Valentina was sweating as her head lowered. Victor sensed the tension in the room and knew he didn't have to dirty his hands "Baby don't listen to him, he poisoned me and wants me dead.. shoot him now," Valentina said struggling to stand. She couldn't stand but crawled to where Matias was.

Valentina's POV Darkness. An endless, suffocating darkness. After my heart started beating again, I felt myself floating in a void, not quite alive, but not dead either. Sometimes I could hear Alex's voice, full of desperate sobs and confessions. But I couldn't go back. The Valentina who loved him was dead. She died in the rain at the docks. Died under the hunt he personally ordered. Died the moment our baby's cries were silenced.

Margret said confidently, standing up and striding towards him. Valentine's face darkened. He stretched out his arm, grabbed Margret by the neck, and forcefully pinned her against the wall. As they hauled him past Valentina, she scrambled up from the mattress, her red robe slipping off her shoulder. "Mateo!" She wailed as she reached out for him like a heroine in a tragic opera. "Tell them to take me too! I am your accomplice in love! I will wait for you!" Mateo didn't even look at her. He just kept cursing at the cops as they dragged him into the hallway. Valentina collapsed onto her knees, sobbing into her hands. "Tragic." Romeo tutted, walking past her. He patted her on the head. "Next time, aim for a man with a 401k and a conscience, darling. And seriously, burn that robe. It's washing you out."

"You're nothing but a murderer, Valentina. How convenient that the Alpha met with a ghastly accident on the very day of the rogue's attack on the pack!" My eyes narrowed. Such vile accusations! How dare she?! My blood boiled with anger at her brash accusations. I had nothing to do with any rogue attack on the pack. Besides, this was the first time I had heard about it. Maintaining an unwavering gaze at Cynthia as I tipped my chin at her, I countered firmly, "How dare you make such vile accusations at me? I wasn't even aware of any rogue attack on your pack for crying out loud! My life was in danger as much as his."

Not fast, they were still groggy, still confused but they moved. One of them shifted, bones cracking, fur sprouting, teeth lengthening. Another drew a blade from his belt. A third simply stood and stared at me with hungry, yellow eyes.

A swift swipe of his claws ended the leader's life. Without hesitation, Valle took down the remaining rogues, his movements ruthless and efficient. Returning to his human form, he approached the last rogue standing, his eyes blazing with a mix of triumph and bitterness. The two men clashed, their fight intense and brutal. Valle stumbled, clutching his abdomen in pain, but quickly recovered and launched a counter-attack. With a swift strike, he sent the rogue leader crashing to the ground. Valle pounced, his eyes burning with vengeance. He gripped the rogue leader's neck, slamming him against a tree. The sound of snapping bones filled the air as the rogue's life ended.

This shouldn’t have happened. I barely had time to process it when I saw movement ahead—Valeria, fighting off a wave of rogues, her silver hair catching the light as she moved with deadly grace. She was here. Fighting for my pack. Without hesitation, I shifted, tearing through the nearest rogue with a savage growl, then rushed to her side. We fought together, back to back, our wolves a seamless unit as we tore through the remaining rogues. But the numbers were overwhelming. For every rogue we killed, two more seemed to take their place.
