To all of us.” We sat in a candlelit back room while she poured us wine with steady hands. Her name was Valentina. Years ago, she was Lucas’s lover—and spy. POV Joann Paula had confessed that Omega Gavin had been the one harassing Thea all these years. We had already assumed as much from what we found stashed in his hidden tree. By far the most confusing confession is when she told me she killed him. I didn’t want to believe it. Her shy demeanor made it hard to believe that she would murder her husband. Alpha Aiden and I sat in his office while she recalled every gruesome detail. From dragging his body to the stream and how she killed him. I nod towards Keith, "How's your son?" "Ummm he seems okay." He said as if he were guessing. "If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your-" "Rogue. Rogue killed my mate." Noah said clenching his jaw. I nod, "What was his name?" Noah's face turned dark with vengeful lust, "Valentine. He killed her for a rare diamond necklace I gave her the day I mated her. I've thought of nothing else but getting that my mate's necklace back. I placed a scar that runs down his face, so than whatever he looked like, I know it's him."

To bad he would not be able to help me escape, he must be loyal to his Alpha or he would be kicked out of the pack and end up turning rogue. Which meant no leader and other packs kill rogue on sight due to their lawlessness and no loyalty. They are like rodents eating your vegetables in the garden. No one liked rogues. Funny enough that is what I was, my brother and parents. We had to leave our pack behind because of Alpha Keeram, many packs feared him. Unfortunately mine was one of them, my Alpha Jake feared him so much so, that he was going to hand me over like a present. That's why we had no other choice but to go rogue and hide.

"I… I can explain. The doctor said there was no saving her. I only wanted her to suffer less—" Luca slapped her hard across the face. "Bullshit!" Rosa fell to the ground, clutching her cheek as she let out a scream. "You killed your own mother, and you've had us blaming Valentina all these years!" Rafael rushed in and grabbed her by the collar. "It was you! You made me hate Valentina for years!" Rosa pushed herself up, then suddenly laughed. "That's right. I pulled out the oxygen tube, and I was the one who sent those thugs after Valentina. I even made her wear my dress so they would think she was me."

" I cut him off with a cough. Their attention was turned to me, " who is this?" Blondie asked " she's the rogue we just caught dumbass" sadist answered irritatedly. Blondie's eyes widened " the rogue is a 'she'?"" Yes fool! I told you through the mind link" sadist said fustratedly.

I am so in! I tucked my hands in my pocket as I stared at my woman's back. “You were never like this." “Yeah…not until you killed my mother and married this bitch." Whoa! Morretti looked like he was about to have a heart attack. “I didn't kill your mother." He was almost whispering but Valentina wasn't ready to whisper with him. “But you stole her company." She took two steps forward again. Every step she took, I took too. I was right behind her, ready to step in if things got out of hand.

This was it. But Ella, she wasn't crying anymore. Her eyes locked on the rogue, wide and aware in a way that made my skin prickle. Too old and too knowing. The rogue hesitated, just for a second, head tilting like it sensed something wrong. A silver-gray wolf, larger than any I'd seen, radiating alpha authority, crashed through the bedroom window in a spray of glass. When I turned, I saw Val. He hit the rogue from the side with enough force to crack the wall.

She would have been in my room if I hadn't literally forced her to come on a run with me, Valentina thought, berating herself and blaming herself for Sarah's death. She started to scream and rock her body back and forth as she replayed the events that had led up to this in her mind. She sobbed and screamed loudly until she couldn't. Then all she could now see were red dots, and she just wanted to sleep. Valentina had killed many rogues in her life and not once had she ever felt like she needed someone to hold her after a kill. She was a warrior so she didn't need to be held. She did the holding and the protecting of others.
