It was as if I was witnessing a bizarre crossover of different worlds. Emma, on the other hand, seemed to revel in the attention. She flashed a mischievous grin and replied, "Well, you never asked, handsome." I rolled my eyes. Yaz, oblivious to my silent commentary, continued the banter. "So, Emma, any chance I could steal you away from the princess for a dance?" Emma didn't miss a beat. "I'm afraid that's a tempting offer, but I'm on a strict no-kidnapping policy today."

"You're worth no more than anyone standing on a street corner, and it will always be that way! Your actions prove it! So let's see how far you get when you realize you're playing a game you can't win, dear!" Natalia clenched her fists in frustration when she saw Lizzy just clench her lips and lower her head, causing everyone to start murmuring about her. "But... What's her problem?" one of the guests murmured, placing a hand on her chest as she saw one of her daughters look at Natalia with displeasure. "She just made a mistake..."

Emma’s face lights up when she sees me and Ethan together. “Mommy! Look! I got cotton candy!” she exclaims, running over to show me. “That looks delicious, sweetheart,” I say, scooping her up and giving her a kiss on the cheek. Ethan ruffles her hair. “Did you get enough for all of us?” Emma giggles, her eyes sparkling. “Maybe! But I might eat it all first!” We laugh, and for a moment, it feels like we’re a real family. The kind of family I’ve always wanted but never thought I could have. The kind of family I’m too scared to believe in.

“I know you and understand that you are just a kid, you might even forget many things when you grow up, but I know you will never forget this day… The day that your parents and Pack members were burned to death. The screen came to life. As the video started, I saw a familiar woman. Emma. Her image on the screen made me uncomfortable. She looked…bold. Like she was about to reveal something big. Her face was expressionless. Her eyes? Cold.

“Just don't get hurt... Or killed.” Her lips spoke with such confidence, but her eyes trembled, unable to mask the uneasiness she felt, exposing her true feelings to Zane and he reached for her hand, holding it. Suddenly, Emma squeezed his, her fingers wrapping around his hand tightly as she looked him straight in the eye and whispered, “Promise me you will return home safely.” Calmly, Zane nodded, understanding her fears, and he assured her, “I promise.”

He refused to end up like his parents, seemingly harmonious on the surface but playing their own games in reality. … Norman brought good news to Emilia. He had recovered Matthew's account password and obtained crucial information about the product. Emilia was very pleased and said, "Well done! This way, we surely won't be held responsible." Seeing that Emilia didn't criticize him further, Norman tentatively asked, "Ms. Watson, since the matter is resolved, can you spare my child?" "Your child is safe now!" Emilia said triumphantly. "As long as you follow my instructions, your child will grow up safely."

Luca offered. Emma looked at him skeptically. "Really?" She asked doubtfully. "Try me," he said with a smirk. Emma thought about that one thing that she wanted to do badly since she was a kid. But she is sure he will not agree to it. "I always wanted to go to a carnival. I want to play all the games there, I want to try all the rides and I want to to eat cotten Candy" Emma beamed, her dimples peeking out, making an appearance.
