Terror coils in my stomach, but I don’t look away. “You killed him.”
Vincent’s eyes glint. “And Saint let me.”
The words land like a gunshot.
Before I can speak, the door slams open again.

His eyes find Vincent first, then me, then the photo trembling in my hands. His face is carved from stone, but his eyes burn with something feral.
“Get away from her,” he growls.
