Novel & Cerita The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty Book Pdf

I only had a year to find my answers, no distractions was a good way to start. "Venus, honey, are you ready?" My mom called me from the kitchen, as I opened my bedroom door. "Yes, mom be right there." I called back. Walking towards the kitchen, I was singing Famous Last Words out loud. "I am not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone, honey if you stay I'll be forgiven, Nothing you can say can stop me going home. Can you see my eyes are shining bright? Cause I'm out here on the other side of a jet black hotel mirror and I'm so weak..."

Extremely good! He pecks me on the lips and I have to remember that I'm doing this for Elizabeth, in order to keep the vomit down. "I'm just going to take a shower real quick" he says and I nod, and take this as my opportunity. I take off my heels and tip toe, following him to the bedroom, the moment the bathroom door closes, I take that as my cue and enter the room, scanning my eyes around and grabbing the cell phone on the drawer. I swipe it open and realise there's a Pin password on it. Damnit!

It bothered me seeing that the door was wildly open so I couldn't help but let my curiosity eat me. Well... Sebastian wouldn't notice that I would come here, right? I would just take a look around and then I would leave so he wouldn't notice it. I didn't notice the interior design of the room and just quietly went straight to the cabinet drawer that was opened. I was planning not to look at it but my curiosity got the better of me when I saw my name, Cejay Merryweather, written on the files. "Huh...?" I rummaged through the first folder. I gulped, feeling how my heart was beating so fast right now.

I opened my eyes and saw Jade in front of me. I had fallen asleep on the couch while she was reading. " Yeah" I stood up in a rush. " I'll leave now." She said and was about leaving. " Come work here tomorrow." I said yawning. " But boss." " Yea, I'm the boss. So come here." I said. " Okay" she said and left. The novel was on the table, there was a sheet of paper inside it. I brought it out of the book and I saw writing. It was not up to a page, the summary was simpl and short:

She had disobeyed him three times this night; going outside without his permission, bringing that damn cat in his house, and coming down to the basement. Madeline hesitantly opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. She was far too terrified. Was this really who Matthew was? He hid he fact that he was a direwolf, he hid the fact that he was a cruel torturer who kept men chained up in his basement, what other secrets is he keeping from her? "Answer me." His gaze was menacing. She began scolding herself for coming down here. "You should've just stayed in bed, you idiot. Everything would've been fine."

Grace still had a lot to learn, especially since Elena wasn’t doing a good job in the baby-making department. Thinking about Elena reminded me of the conversation that I had had with Mike the other day when he suggested that I should go and see the oracle. I had tried acting like I had never seen a witch in my life but the truth was that I had consulted with a witch, but that was a secret that I was never going to share with anyone. A secret that was shared was not a safe secret and at this point I was the only person who was alive who knew this secret and I had every intention of keeping it like that.

Then left before the conversation could continue. Back inside his office, the wrapped book still sat on his desk. Waiting. Walter picked it up. His thumb brushed the edge of the paper. The same way it had brushed the novel cover in her bookstore. Outside, Manhattan stretched endlessly beneath the afternoon sun. Millions of people. Millions of stories. Yet somehow one bookstore assistant had managed to do what investors, executives, and rivals never could. She had made him look inward. Walter stared at the skyline. Then at the book.

I didn’t sleep. Not the way normal people sleep. I did that thing where your body lies still long enough to trick itself into resting, but your mind stays upright, pacing in circles like it’s trying to find a door. The autobiography sat under the mattress, pressed flat like a secret I’d swallowed and couldn’t digest. I kept feeling it there—like the paper had heat. Like Katherine’s words weren’t ink anymore but something alive that had crawled into my room and made a nest.

Mystified by the strangeness of it all, he flipped through the pages, quickly reading through the book, and immediately froze, rooted to the ground as what he discovered in the pages snatched the air from his lungs. Totally unforeseen, unthinkable, and unbelievably devastating, the long-buried secret revealed in the book struck him as a bolt from the blue. It was as if his entire world had been turned upside down in the blink of an eye.

Once inside, I place the mac and cheese onto my desk and removes one of the oven mitts before I begin searching the book shelf to the right of my desk. “What are you doing?” Getting a puzzled look from Sky, I ignore his questioning gaze. “You’ll see.” Finding what I am looking for, I pull out a book titled “Hidden Secrets” and smirk as the shelf slowly moves to the right side. Sky lets out a low whistle as I place on the mitt once again before picking up the pan and climbing the stairs in the hidden passage way. "Wow." Is Sky's only response.
