I don't like telling many people I know how to draw, it's just not something I like to talk about. I taught myself how to draw starting when I was eleven our school was very low budget and didn't have an art class, so I taught myself when I saw some drawings online. I looked up videos and basically made them my class, my parents always told me I was dumb for it, I would never make a living off it. My parents are practical they only do what's needed, nothing more, nothing less, they expect other people to do the same. They don't believe in doing things to keep yourself sane, or going on vacation to have fun, they believe in work and home.

Wow! “That looks very impressive!” I smiled at him and ruffled his hair. This was a silent invitation for him to fill me in and that he did, leaving me to marvel at his tech savviness. William was a fucking genius! He learned how to code all by himself when he was five. He informed me that he was in a private class where he thrived with a few other students. While large groups and loud noises sometimes overwhelmed him, he could lose himself in the world of coding for hours. Keagan encouraged him by buying him all these devices that I didn't even know existed.

I teased him. "It’s self-taught. It's my life's mission to sweet-talk you. I never get tired of it, and no practice is needed," he declared. I finally ate until my stomach bulged. No matter what, I couldn't stay cooped up in the room any longer. I insisted on going out.

He looked directly at me. "But talent isn't why I'm offering you this." I waited. "You make people around you better." "You listen." "You care." "And when you design..." He smiled. "...you remember the people who'll actually live with your decisions." He paused. "I can teach software." "I can teach technical skills." "I can't teach that." For the second time in as many weeks... Aiden found himself unable to speak. Nathan stood. "I don't need an answer today." He smiled.

“Just by listening to your body. That’s the first step.” I stared at him. His face was so close. Too close. My thoughts were blurring at the edges. “You don’t need to rush anything,” he continued. “But when you try again… go slow. Don’t aim for the finish line. Just… explore. Think of it as getting to know yourself." I nodded, my heart hammering. "Do you need help?"

Alberto was very confused. He had completely lost his mind and his idea. If another lecturer had suddenly entered his class and taught it, Alberto could say something like that. But that time, the lecturer who entered his class was Professor Hugo. He was just silent. He was confused about what he should say. He was silent for a moment.

He sounded disappointed in himself. “Hey, it’s okay. The man who taught me everything I knew, couldn’t hear me when I was in stealth mode either. He is 10 times better than me. Over time, with practice, eventually you will too. You are a fast learner,” I said with some respect in my tone. This caused him to look up and smile. “I’m sorry for being a jerk the first time we met and during our session earlier today,” was all he said. “It’s okay, but just remember, never think you understand someone until you know what they are capable of. Most people will surprise you once you get to know them,” I replied with a small smile.

He leaned back in his chair, folding his arms across his chest, giving me a look like I had just confessed to strangling a priest. I couldn’t blame him for the disbelief. Hell, if the tables were turned, I wouldn’t believe me either. I am Derrick fucking Cross. CEO of the biggest production company in the country. I run an empire worth billions. I don’t take jobs…I create them. I don’t follow rules…I make them. And now, here I was, standing in Dan’s sex academy office, offering myself as a fucking sex teacher. Why, on God’s fucking earth, would I of all people want to teach a girl sex?

His scent, his body heat, made me feel a stability I had never known. Joseph's Adam's apple bobbed; his eyes were filled with pain. "But, Harper, I can't live without you. I loved you most—have you forgotten?" "You pushed me away, time after time," I pulled up my sleeve, revealing the small scars remaining on my arm. "Every scar is a witness." His gaze darkened, heavy with deep self-reproach. I leaned against Adrian. "Joseph, go home. I'm happy here." He screamed, clutching his head.

Brownie points for saving my laptop. "Where did you learn that? I said, after swallowing the food in my mouth. "What? Fixing a laptop?" "Yeah." I nodded. "That's actually how I started out this company. I used to fix laptops for people, then with the money I earned, I was able to put myself through programming school. Years later and here I am." I was seeing him in a new light, no matter how hard I tried to hate him. He was a man of passion and will and he intrigued and impressed me.
