Scars of Silence(MxM)
“You’re here.”
“I’m here,” I confirmed, my voice husky.
We lay there for a while longer, tangled together, not speaking, just relearning the feel of each other in the cold morning light. The outside world, with all its problems, felt like a distant dream.
But reality, as it always did, began to seep in. The silence was no longer the peaceful quiet of the storm. It was the silence of being cut off. We had no food delivery. No contact. The snow would be meters deep.
