We make it back to the house, and I grab my things so Marley can take me to the airport. At the Airport terminal, Marley starts to cry, and I pull her into a hug. "Hey, don't cry, I'll see you soon," I told her. "I wish we were closer," She states. “I know me too,” I say. “Terminal 34 is departing please proceed to the designated area.” They say over the intercom. We hug one more time and say goodbye.

She returned her focus to the road “What ice cream truck? I didn't see any” Timmy said, still searching the road. Rosa took a turn; we were nearing the airport. “You missed it.” We all fell into a comfortable silence for the rest of the ride. At last, we reached our destination. We approached the gates, and the twins' excitement was palpable. They squealed and bounced on their heels with megawatt smiles on their faces. “The flight to Boston leaves in twenty minutes,” came the announcement over the loudspeaker.

Chapter 10 “Touchdown,” I whispered as the wheels hit the tarmac. Tabitha scrolls through her tablet, reviewing documents, I stare out the window, watching the city move past us. We approach the airport. But we don’t stop at the usual spot. Instead, we take a different turn. And another. And another. “Um… are we lost?” I ask. “No,” Tabitha replies casually. We drive further away from the crowded terminals. Until I see it. A separate entrance. Less chaotic and more serene. At the entrance, it reads: ‘Private Owned Aircrafts.’ I blink. “Tabitha,” I say slowly, “why are we here?”

Large, innocent, and heart-melting. I always put contacts, but she didn’t like them, so I let her be. I sighed, defeated. “Fine. But no running. No wandering.
