a truck headed straight for the half of me sticking out the car I close my eyes as I brace for the impact, but just as the truck is about to hit me two strong arms pull me back into the car. I watch in horror as the enormous truck flies past us, ripping off the open car door. Our car swerves and spins as the driver frantically tries to take back control of the vehicle. As the car moves I am jolted towards the opening, but before I am thrown any further someone turns me back around and I slam into a hard chest as the same strong arms wrap around me in a possessive embrace.

Crossing his arms over his chest he looks at him expectantly. “She's a twin.” “Get to the point.” “I- I think that was the point.” Sanele looks at Snakes with pursed lips. Snakes raise his eyebrow, he nods in understanding as he retrieves his phone to play some game on it. “Right, go on.”

Claire thought and she gently turned on her heels to see Mason Rogers and Claire swallowed nothing. Oh no. She panicked, staring at him.

“Better.” We went through this over and over, my body taking the hits, my breath becoming ragged. Just when I thought I had a grasp on things, he outsmarted me again. Still, I was learning. I was adapting. And with each failed attempt, my anger sharpened my focus. Finally, when he reached for me again, I twisted hard and drove my elbow back into his ribs. It wasn’t a perfect hit, but it made him stagger back a step. I froze, surprise coursing through me. I had actually landed a hit.
