Sinful
I wasn’t getting a good feeling.
I had a hard face against his hard face which softened after I said, “Know that I’m not in a position to put this baby’s life in danger no matter what you think of me. I want this baby protected even if it means protecting him from you… you get me?” I paused, he sighed, nodding his head, “…now, tell me what’s wrong, we will make it right together,”
He froze for a moment and then I realised I used ‘we’ instead of the right word. There wasn’t any us, there could never be, mainly because we didn’t match social standards and the least I wanted to be called was someone’s keeper or a gold digger.
