I lick my lips thoughtfully and shake my head, “I can’t say that I have.”
“Excellent.” Mira huffs, brushing her long, slender fingers through her damp hair. “You wouldn’t happen to know how to pick a lock, would you?”
I cackle at her question, “Oh yes, sure, let me just whip out my lock picking tools and get right to it, shall I? If I had acquired that particular skill over my lifetime, I assure you I would have used it already.”
Mira’s eyes glide over my face, and she sighs heavily, “So what are we supposed to do then, genius? It was your moronic idea that got us into this predicament in the first place!”
