He wrapped his hand around her back and his sharp claws elongated, piercing deeply into her skin. She moaned in pain as she felt a sharp pain in her neck region.

"And unexplained Neratomay deaths?" On that I hesitated. "None that I'd describe as unexplained." Malarias stared at me. "A vampire not five years turned did not properly secure his home," I continued. "Sleep took him while in the living room of his house. A human opened the door, and he never woke again. He moved closer to her again but this time, she was prepared and understood what he was. She lunged on her feet in fright and prepared to flee. But she had barely moved two steps when that figure appeared in front of her again.

Dylan asks. “Did you guys know Julia Boone is a vampire?” My voice drops to conspirationally low in an attempt to change the topic. “What?” Orlo’s brows jump into his hairline, but Dylan remains silent. Incredulously silent. “You know she is a vampire, don’t you, Dylan?” I look at him sharply. “Only a fool won’t know.” Dylan’s voice sounds distant. “You are saying I am a fool.” Orlo pops between us. “Yeah.” Dylan and I say in unison.

AVA'S POV “For a queen you are, you're getting a bit too comfortable with these humans,” Rowan whispered, his breath tickling my skin and his voice husky and laced with a hint of warning. My gaze narrowed, eyes flashing red with a hint of danger as I took in his words. “And what makes you think so, my love?” I purred, my voice dripping with sweetness as my fingers trailed his bare chest down below to his hard member. Of course we were lying naked in all our glory, skin flawless yet had a pale color to it, and this was absolutely normal being vampires.
