My pulse roared in my ears as I spun on shaky legs and fled. Back in my room, I barely made it to the bathroom before I vomited. I gripped the sink, my knuckles white, my mind spiraling. Iesha's Pov I knelt down with the other girls my age in front of the famous Hunter Beckham, my gaze lowered as my body trembled at the thought of who he was going to pick. Sweat dripped from my head and I felt a little bit nauseated, however, any mistake in front of him could cost me my life. Hunter Beckham was a well known Vampire Mafia. I had never seen him but I heard how horrible of a man he was. I heard he had no respect for women and would stop at nothing to destroy anyone standing against the empire handed over to him by his father.

Vampires?” “You think I’m crazy, but that’s the only explanation that makes sense.”

For one brief second, everything stopped. Her breath caught. Her eyes widened just enough. Then she recovered. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said quickly. “Why would I meet someone who wants me dead?” A slow smile tugged at my lips as I stepped closer. “Careful, Rose.” My shadow fell over her. “I’m a werewolf. And I’m a mafia lord. Lies don’t survive long around me.”

U just had to keep my mouth shut and i feel like I never had such good luck in life because now I just had to go ahead and get involved with a freaking mafia boss. This was my life. This was just my sad and pathetic sad life and it's only just a matter of time before Marco finally kills me and I knew that to help myself and also stay alive I just had to shut up and keep my mouth shut so that I could live longer.
