Werewolf Hierarchy Novels & Stories

In my world, the world of werewolves, I'm close to the bottom in ranking. The highest rank is an Alpha. He's massive, taller than everyone, and stronger. He has an aura that can drop you to your knees, and make you submit to him. He's the leader of a pack. It's not something simply given to you, or something you can take. You have to be born with Alpha blood in order to be an Alpha The next step down is a Beta, the Alpha's second in command. Once again, you have to be born with it. You have to be born with beta blood in order to be one.

Werewolves may be the most loyal kind of race but they are also the most discriminators, even worse than humans. And I am not just speaking just because I hate our own kind. I am saying this because it’s true I am the prime example of their discrimination. The way they cast us aside and call us rogues…. Also, that damn hierarchy that I so damn wanted to abolish. Alphas, Betas, and Omegas, which are the lowest of the rank, are to discriminating at this point. They would reason that we needed that in order to have order and leadership but I would say it’s just shit that the high-ups like elders made.

The hierarchy is everything. I don't mean that loosely. I mean it in the way that oxygen is everything, not a preference, not a cultural quirk, just the fundamental structure that everything else is built on top of. Alpha at the top. Beta directly below. Then the elders, then the senior pack members, then everyone else in an order that I'm still working out but that every wolf in this house seems to understand instinctively without anyone having to explain it. Where does a human Luna fit in that structure?

I didn't know everything about the wolf world but I've stayed long enough to know that there is a system of hierarchy that is way more strict than the human world. The only set of wolves higher than an alpha is the royal family, they have lived for ages and unlike normal wolves, they do not age. The royal family are the first set of wolves the moon goddess ever made, their history goes way beyond civilization. They rule the wolf world with power and they are referred to as lycans, the current lycan king is Jacobi thoryan. The pack females love to gossip about him and daydream about being his mate.
