What Happens In Vegas Novels & Stories

“This is my first trip here… How about you show me how Victor ‘Party Animal’ Hook does Vegas.” ***** “‘Party Animal’?” Victor laughed to himself. His trips to Vegas as of late had involved real estate meetings, conference calls, and meeting with lawyers. He hadn’t made time to socialize or drink and gamble. “I figured we could hit a few nightclubs. See what’s trending here, bring it back home…” “Victor, do you think of anything but work?” Navy asked him with a laugh. “Rarely,” he admitted, without humor, looking straight ahead.

And to Vegas, it was a waste of time and a memorial for heartbreak. I was heartbroken, the tears wouldn't stop flowing, It flowed down to my lips and I could taste its saltiness. I was ready to move on. Fuck Chris and his bitches, fuck Las Vegas and its picturesque views. New York, here I come.

The chances of finding him here seems very rare. After we miraculously escaped Escobar Scuderi and his psychotic tendencies, I took Vanessa back home with me…to find my parents dead. Burnt to ashes. We did not waste up to an hour there. I picked up my little sister, and we spent our last money on bus tickets to New York City. Pain twists my heart. There's nothing for me in Vegas. I might never go back. The security man finally pulls open a door and we both step in. It reveals some kind of tastefully furnished, wood paneled office.

She packed up her few belongings, said goodbye to the few friends she had made in town, and hit the road. It was a long drive, but Maggie didn't mind. She watched the miles roll by, the desert landscape changing from brown to red to orange. As she approached Vegas, she felt a sense of excitement building in her chest. The city was unlike anything she had ever seen. Bright lights and neon signs lit up the night sky, and the sounds of slot machines and music filled the air. It was overwhelming, but also exhilarating. Werewolves were also common and co existed with humans just like in New York. Maggie knew she wouldn’t have a hard time blending in.

“So everything’s sorted with the Mexicans?” “Didn’t know you were interested,” James said with a chuckle. “I’m not that interested,” William said coolly. “But then again, one needs to keep his ear to the ground.” James nodded, understanding what William meant. Their businesses relied solely on information, and to keep oneself in the know was the only way to survive in this cutthroat world. “All sorted,” James said. “For now at least. Who the fuck knows when they’ll spring up again?” It was a fact that drug dealing, prostitution, and kidnapping was booming in Vegas. No matter how many had been shut down, another would just spring up once again, like fucking dandelions.

Alex’s POV I hate Vegas but somehow I am always in the heart of the city for one business meeting or the other. The thing about Vegas is, it always smells like desperation. Cheap perfume, stale whiskey, and the electric hum of bad decisions waiting to happen. I should be used to it by now, from the relentless noise, the synthetic glitz, the way time folds in on itself when you’re drowning in too many flashing lights down to the hollow promises. But here I am again, standing in a room full of overeager tech bros and recycled sales pitches, nursing a drink I don’t want and counting the hours until I can get the hell out of here. All while keeping a neutral face of course

Just let me go home. “We'll deal with this in the car. Move it, Missy.” He strides ahead and I scurry after him, brain all mushy. Everything is happening so fast. “Where are we going?” He holds the door for me, eyes glinting. “Vegas.” Sin city. Where angels go to rot. Where I will make the worst decision of my life and not think twice about it. Fuck, this shit just got real.

¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ Thankfully, Reagan drove her car to the cabin so we gassed up the car and we were off to Vegas, thankfully we didn't stay too far away, the drive took us a total of about four hours. I understand why some people refer to this place as the city that never sleeps, I mean it's about eleven at night when we arrive and it looks like the city is just starting to get into the groove if you know what I mean. “Where are we going to find a chapel?” Reagan asks me. “I'm sure there's one around here, I mean apart from the gambling, shot gun weddings is what this place is known for.” I tell her. “Yeah.” She says as she looks out the window.

He would have seen the flames again. He carefully took another sip of coffee, using the motion to buy him some time to think. His mind was lost to the flames for a moment before calming himself. It wasn't the same as before. Still, the fear gripped him. He'd never been so happy to be in Vegas. “Are there any leads?” he asked after a moment.

I didn't want to lie to Vegas, especially after opening up to me but I had to, "Let's talk about it another day, the wound is still very much alive." "Okay sure," Vegas increased the volume of his music. The car system started playing Magic Shop by BTS, and I followed and sang along out loud. "You don't look like you could love K-pop," Vegas smiled genuinely, his eyes staring at me in a way I can't explain. "I do, you don't just know me yet!" I yelled at the top of my voice because of the loud music. "Sure Angel!" Vegas yelled back before focusing on the road. We drove around in circles drinking a bottle of Spanish red wine until Vegas finally stopped at a shopping mall.
