The library doors were right ahead of us—double doors of carved walnut with brass handles.
We slipped inside. The library was vast, two stories tall, lined with thousands of leather-bound books, a massive marble fireplace roaring at the far end, and a mahogany executive desk sitting in the center beneath a crystal chandelier.
On the desk sat the master terminal. A sleek, high-powered desktop workstation connected directly to the university's global server array.
Elias rushed to the desk, powering on the system. "Plug it in, Aria."
With my shaking left hand, I pressed the silver hard drive into the master interface port.
