Dylan turned his head, his brows knitting together. "How old are you? You need someone to hold your hand just to sit in a car? Useless."
Maya froze. Her eyes welled up. The uncle who used to be so gentle, so doting, who always gave her whatever she wanted—what had happened to him?
Dylan snapped, "Are you getting in or not? Fine. Stay here, then."
