Cassian couldn't deny that the night with Emeraude had been amazing. The night before, he had passed out as soon as he entered the room, overcome by exhaustion. The next morning, Cassian woke up early and prepared to go to work. Before leaving, he bought two plane tickets to Ireland. He went to the office and informed Chloe that he would be absent for four days. Then, he went to his office and started reviewing some documents when the phone rang.
"Cassian St. Clair," he answered.
"Mr. St. Clair, Miss Emeraude is on line 2," said Chloe, and Cassian rolled his eyes.
"Transfer the call," he requested, and she did as he ordered. "Yes, Emeraude."
"I wanted to know what time you want me to buy your ticket," she said from the other end of the line.
"I've already bought it. We're leaving at 5:00 PM," he replied, leaning back in his chair.
"Oh, got it," she said, her voice sounding strange. "Um, Cassian? I didn't want to ask you this now, but I would like to buy some things..."
