As soon as Cassian left Emeraude at her house, he headed to work. Thaddeus called him, informing him about an issue with one of the contracts and scheduling an immediate meeting.

While the phone rang, Cassian's desire was to continue holding Emeraude in his arms, ignoring the call. Unfortunately, he couldn't do that. Next time, he thought, he would turn off his phone and use the excuse of having a dead battery. He was still excited by the moans Emeraude had let out while they were kissing.

He parked the car in front of the company, as he didn't intend to linger in the meeting and planned to return to continue what he had started with Emeraude.
