Seeing him after a whole day, Brooklyn forgot all her grudges and soaked in the warmth of his bare chest. “Nikolas,” she breathed, her heart pounding inside her ribcage as a strange sense of satisfaction engulfed her heart and she pressed herself closer to him. Nikolas tightened his hold upon her while she kissed the warm skin on his neck. A shudder went down his body and he groaned with a need so intense that he lost all semblance of self-control. He picked her up in his arms, his movements swift, agile and powerful. Brooklyn was too dazed to react. The need to kiss him, to prove to him that she was much better than any other woman was so strong that she snaked her arm around his neck. Holding his cheek with the other, she showered his jawline with small nips, bites, and kisses. Nikolas’s breath hitched and it was obvious that his mind and body went into overdrive, wanting nothing but to embed himself deep inside her.
