Chapter 13: Aria's Lunatic Behavior

Reese walked through the grand entrance of the event center, making sure everything was in place. The room was almost ready, but there were still a few finishing touches to be made. She glanced at the clock; there was still plenty of time to prepare before the event later that week.

“Hey, Valerie,” Reese called out.

Valerie turned around, offering a tight smile. “Reese. How’s everything going?”

Reese gave a half-smile, glancing around the room. “It’s coming along. You’ve been here since the morning?”

  • Dating My Boyfriend's Uncle    Chapter 81

Chapter 81: Lines DrawnThe wheels of the private jet screeched lightly as the aircraft touched down on the tarmac of the secluded runway in Los Angeles. Liam Hemsworth leaned back in his seat, staring out the window, jaw tight. He hadn’t spoken a word since takeoff, preferring the silence to the buzz of his phone or idle conversation.Beside him, Aria kept stealing glances at him, wearing a fake serene smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. She adjusted her sunglasses as the jet taxied to a stop, then looked at him expectantly. He didn’t look her way. Didn’t speak. Didn’t acknowledge her presence. When the cabin door opened and the stairway unfolded, Liam stood, grabbed his overnight bag, and walked toward the exit.Aria rose quickly and followed, her heels clacking confidently. “Liam,” she called, her voice light, almost sweet. “Aren’t you going to say something?”He paused at the top of the stairs, slowly turning to face her. His eyes were cold.“What are you doing here, Aria?”Sh

Chapter 80: Breaking PointAdams Hemsworth sat behind his mahogany desk, fingers pressed into his temples, the screen in front of him displaying red numbers and a slowly plummeting stock chart. He didn’t need the charts to tell him what he already knew—things weren’t looking good. The door creaked open, and his mother, Marina, entered, elegant as always, dressed in a deep violet suit and dripping with quiet power. He barely looked up. “If you’re here to remind me that I’ve messed up, save it. I’m not in the mood.”“I’m not here to remind you of anything,” she replied smoothly, shutting the door behind her. “I came because I received a call. Liam is coming.”Adams sat upright immediately, eyes narrowing. “What?”“You heard me,” Marina said, walking closer, her heels clicking softly against the marble. “Liam is returning. He’ll be in the country today or tomorrow.”Adams clenched his jaw. “How do you know that?”She gave him a cryptic smile. “I have my ways.”Adams stood from his chair

Chapter 79: Shadows and SurprisesAria’s fingers trembled slightly as she slid her suitcase toward the closet. Her bedroom was already scattered with shopping bags, silk scarves, designer shoes, and new perfume bottles. She had spent the last hour going through every outfit in her wardrobe, choosing what best represented confidence, charm, and seduction—everything Liam once loved. Her phone buzzed, and she snatched it from the bed.Valerie: Flight is booked. JFK to Los Angeles. 8:15 AM. American Airlines. Seat 6A is Liam. I placed you in 6B. I’ll text you your boarding pass now.Aria’s lips curled upward in a slow, satisfied smile. She quickly typed her response:Aria: You’re the best, Valerie. I owe you big time. Her phone dinged again—Valerie had sent the boarding pass and flight details.Just then, her bedroom door creaked open. Her father, Charles Whitmore, a man with an eternally furrowed brow and a businesslike air, stepped inside, holding a half-empty glass of scotch.“You look

Chapter 78: A Woman’s Instinct The sound of heels clicking against marble echoed through the hallway as Chelsea and Liam exited the office hand in hand. Their fingers were tightly entwined, and the soft smile on Liam’s lips said it all,he wasn’t just leaving work, he was leaving with the woman who currently held his heart. As they approached the elevator, Chelsea pressed the button and leaned slightly into his arm, stealing a glance at him. He looked relaxed for once—something rare since his return. She smiled to herself, savoring the small victory of having his attention, even for a few hours. But the peace shattered when Valerie’s sharp voice rang through the corridor. “Mr. Hemsworth!” she called, jogging toward them in her nude heels, a thick manila file in her hand. “I have some documents that urgently require your signature.” Liam turned slightly, his expression slipping into one of impatience. “Valerie, not now. I need to leave. You can handle it tomorrow.” She steppe

Chapter 77: A ReunionThe ocean waves crashed gently against the shore as Reese stood on the sand, her heart pounding with urgency. The salty breeze tangled in her hair, but she hardly noticed as she scanned the vast stretch of the beach, hoping to find him.She had checked the docks, the nearby restaurants, even asked around the hotels lining the beachfront. Every time she showed a picture of Gerald, she was met with the same response,no one had seen him.Frustration and desperation clawed at her. What if she was too late? What if he had already left? The thought sent a sharp pang through her chest.Reese clenched her phone in her hand, her fingers trembling slightly. She had never chased after a man before, had never allowed herself to be so vulnerable. But this wasn’t just any man. This was Gerald.Taking a deep breath, she turned towards the ocean, her eyes blurring with unshed tears. Maybe it was foolish to come here. Maybe she had miscalculated everything. Then, just as she was

Every few minutes, she would sigh, glance at her phone, then shake her head as if shaking away whatever thought had taken hold of her.Chelsea, who had been lounging on Reese’s bed, watched with growing amusement. "You know, for someone who claims she wants nothing to do with Gerald, you sure look like someone going through a crisis over him."Reese stopped in her tracks, narrowing her eyes. "I am not having a crisis."Chelsea raised an eyebrow. "No? Then why are you acting like a lovesick teenager?"Reese huffed, running a hand through her hair. "I just... I don’t know, okay? He keeps appearing in my life, and now he’s leaving. It’s just... weird."Chelsea smirked. "Weird? Or something else?"Reese shot her a glare before flopping onto the bed. "You're impossible."After a few moments of silence, Reese finally admitted, "Gerald is leaving tonight."Chelsea’s expression so
