As I coughed uncontrollably, the other guy attacked Dominic. But instead of backing down, Dominic threw him to the ground and positioned himself on top, delivering endless punches.

When Dominic went too far, I grabbed his arm and pleaded, "Please stop!"

Victoria entered the kitchen, and I could feel everyone's eyes on us. "Are you okay?" she asked, holding me by the shoulders.

I nodded, my voice still out of my control. "I just want to leave," I excused myself.

Her eyes welled up with tears as she apologized. "I am so sorry, all I wanted was for you to feel better."

Forcing a smile, I said, "Thanks for trying" as I made my way out.

As I walked, I stumbled upon a park. My head was spinning, perhaps due to the drink.

I sat on a nearby bench, trying to catch my breath. However, a sense of unease washed over me as I felt a shadow moving around me.

Looking around, I noticed the bushes shaking in an irregular pattern, as if something was disturbing them.

I scanned my surroundings and heard a faint whisper, calling out my name.

Fear gripped me, causing me to reach for my phone. Instead of calling anyone else, I dialed Mr. Redwood's number.

He answered right away, as if he had been expecting my call.

"Can you please come and get me?" I asked, my voice trembling.

"Of course, where are you?" he inquired.

"I'm in front of the park near our school," I replied, sniffing.

"I'll be there in a minute!" he exclaimed, sensing that something was not right.

As I waited, the wind grew stronger, its intensity increasing. I could hear growls and animalistic huffs in the distance.

Suddenly, as I stepped back, I felt a jolt against my back as someone bumped into me. I turned around and came face to face with the guy who had harassed me.

His face was crushed, and I could see the bones of his nose with blood.

I covered my mouth as I cried with fear.

"Look what you've done to me!" he accused, his voice filled with anger.

Backing away, I defended myself. "You were the one who harassed me!" I said.

"So you chose to let him beat me to death?" he yelled, his frustration evident.

"I didn't do anything!" I shouted back, turning my attention toward the park.

That's when I saw him - the man from my dreams. This was our second encounter. His black hair and raven eyes were captivating, almost seductive.

I felt an overwhelming desire to run into his arms as he called out to me, promising protection. "Come to me, I will protect you," he said.

I shouted, "Leave me alone!" The wind began to howl, causing the leaves to swirl in the air everywhere.

"Look around you," he sneered, "No one is on your side. They're all waiting for me to leave you so they can get their claws on you."

He extended his hand toward me, and as I glanced around, I saw my wounded and bloodied parents, the person who had harassed me, and my friends also wounded badly, all staring at me, as if I were to blame for their suffering.

"Come to me, Love," his voice echoed in my ears once again.

I turned around and firmly said, "No!" But despite my protest, my legs betrayed me, and I found myself taking steps toward him, tears streaming down my face.

As I got closer and closer, I closed my eyes, only to be startled by the sound of tires screeching against the road. I was just a step away from him.

I turned around, realized the people I was seeing were just my imagination, and then I saw Mr. Redwood.

Without hesitation, I ran toward him, seeking shelter in his arms. I buried my face in his chest and wept uncontrollably, not caring if what had just happened was real or not.

He trembled at first with his arms open in the air, unsure of how to react, but as he realized that I had found safety in his embrace, he wrapped his arms around me.

He gently rubbed my back, trying to comfort me, and whispered, "It's alright, I've got you."

His voice was like a soothing melody in the midst of that hauntingly dark night.

I continued to cry until I felt a sense of relief, and he brushed my hair behind my ear, cupping my face in his hands.

"Are you feeling better now?" he asked, wiping away my tears with his thumbs as I nodded.

"Do you want to tell me what happened?" he inquired, his voice filled with concern.

I lacked the strength to speak, so he gently took my hand and said, "Come!" Guiding me into his car, he drove us to a nearby cafe.

"I am all messed up," I made an excuse to avoid going with him.

"Hmm..." He thought for a moment before saying, "Wait!" Reaching out, he removed the hairband from my hair.

Leaving my hair cascading over my shoulder, he lightly wiped my cheeks. Then, he ran his fingers through his own hair, intentionally messing it up.

"Now we're both a mess!" He smiled and stepped out of the car, opening the door for me and extending his hand.

I held onto his hand and stepped out of the car. "What about my eyeliner?" I smiled.

"Your eyes still look beautiful, even with smudged eyeliner!" He closed the door and turned toward the cafe. "Honestly, that's not even that smudged!" He smiled.

My gaze remained fixed on him. He wasn't just beautiful on the outside, but his heart was beautiful too. I felt something stirring in my own heart, a desire to know more about him.

As we entered the cafe, he asked, "What would you like to have?"

"I don't really feel like anything," I excused myself.

"Neither do I," he thought for a moment. "What can we do about this?" His eyes scanned the surroundings until they landed on the counter.

"Let's have some ice cream!" he exclaimed.

"Do you like chocolate?" I asked. "Who doesn't like chocolate?" He smirked.

He knew how to bring joy to people's lives. In just a few minutes, he managed to make me forget all the troubles I had been through. I couldn't help but smile uncontrollably. We talked and laughed a lot that night.

  • Demon's Obsession - I'm Bound to Him   His broken soul

“You’re not mad at me?” I asked, my voice breathless as we circled each other. He smirked, his movements relaxed yet calculating. “Why would I be mad at you?”I didn’t have time to answer before he tossed the stick aside, advancing with a confidence that was almost unnerving. His next punch came faster, but I caught it, twisting his arm just enough to make him wince.“It’s not the first time I’ve been turned down by someone I cared about,” he said, his voice softer now, carrying a weight that hadn’t been there before. He forced a smile, but it didn’t reach his eyes.I paused, lowering my arms. “You’ve… been in love before?”He shook his head, a bitter laugh escaping his lips. “It’s not about falling in love,” he said, his tone laced with disappointment. “It’s about ever loving someone—whether it’s your dad, your mom...” He trailed off, reaching for his water bottle. Taking a slow sip, he added, “...or anyone you’ve ever been close to.”I didn’t know how to respond, the sudden vulnerab

I narrowed my eyes, gritting my teeth as defiance surged within me. "Or what?" I spat, raising my chin in challenge.A sinister smile tugged at the corners of his lips, and with deliberate slowness, he raised the blade in his hand. The cold steel kissed my temple, trailing down the side of my face with maddening gentleness, before resting lightly against the curve of my neck. His voice dropped to a venomous whisper, so close that every word felt like a dagger slicing into me. "Just know this—I am not merciful. I won’t let you go." His smile deepened, twisting into something darker. "But I won’t kill you either, though I will make you beg for them both!"The blade pressed just enough to send a warning shiver through my body, though it only broke my skin a little bit."One by one," he continued, his words soaked in malice, "I will wipe out every last one of your friends. And I will make sure you watch them suffer, helpless and broken. I’ll burn every tree under which you seek shelter. I

  • Demon's Obsession - I'm Bound to Him   Silent Suffering

Now I stood in a tunnel, long and cavernous, stretching endlessly in both directions. The walls were shrouded in an impenetrable darkness, their edges melting into the black void. No light flickered here, no sound stirred the air. The silence was so intense it felt alive, wrapping around me like a thick blanket, squeezing the breath from my lungs. And then I heard it—a hiccup. The sound, small and fragile, broke the suffocating silence like a crack in glass. I spun toward it, my eyes straining to see through the dark. Someone was there, curled up on the ground, his body trembling as he shielded his head with his hands.I squinted, my steps slow and cautious as I approached. The closer I got, the more I could make out—the tousled hair, and the quivering shoulders. And then I saw him. Blonde hair, his face hidden against his curled-up knees, as though he were trying to vanish into himself. My steps quickened, driven by an urgency I couldn’t suppress, and I closed the distance between us

  • Demon's Obsession - I'm Bound to Him   Crumbling inside

I dropped my gaze to the floor, my fingers tightening around the edge of the book. I couldn’t find the words to respond. How could I? The pain in my chest swelled, too big, too raw. “You know,” he continued, his voice softer now, “I’m still new to all of this, but… I don’t think what you two had was a spell.” Those words jolted me, forcing my eyes to meet his. There was something steady and earnest in his expression, something that held me there even as my throat tightened and my vision blurred with tears. He gave a small shrug, a gesture almost awkward but kind. “Consider me your friend. Or… a brother, if that’s easier—” Before he could finish, I couldn’t hold it back anymore. I lunged forward, clinging to him as the dam broke. Silent sobs wracked my body, spilling out all the pain I’d tried so desperately to suppress. “It’s okay,” he murmured, his arms circling me hesitantly at first, then more firmly. He rubbed slow circles on my back, his voice low and soothing. “It’s ok

  • Demon's Obsession - I'm Bound to Him   Burning The only Bridge

“Really?” he said, his voice dripping with disbelief as he spun around to face me. His eyes narrowed, and his expression twisted into something unrecognizable, something that tore at my chest. “You really think I’m mad at you because you—what?” He threw his hands in the air, his laugh bitter and hollow. “Because you *used* me?” “Of course!” I snapped, my hands flying to my hips as I tried to stand my ground, though my knees felt weak. “What other reason could there be?” His gaze darkened, and he took a step closer, pointing a finger at me like he was driving a dagger straight to my soul. “Because you’re lying to me!” he shouted, his voice breaking the stillness of the night. He raked his fingers through his hair, pacing back and forth, his movements restless and erratic. “I don’t know what changed,” he continued, his voice rising and falling with emotion. “Ever since the bond broke, I can’t read your thoughts anymore. But I can still *see* it, Julia! I’m not dumb!” His words s

Her voice cracked as she continued, her vulnerability laid bare. “But then, that night...” She paused, her breath hitching, unable to say more. “That night made me realize something. It’s a burden to be you—a burden that no one would willingly carry.”Her hand trembled as she placed the mug down on the table, unable to hold it any longer. “You deserve love, Julia,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “Because you’re the kind of person who’s so rare in this world. You’ve been nothing but kind, even when I didn’t deserve it.”Tears began to roll down her cheeks, unchecked and unapologetic. “I broke your trust,” she continued. “I broke your heart. And yet... when I needed you, you were there. Every time I was slipping away, every time I thought I was beyond saving, you pulled me back. And how did I repay you?” She swallowed hard, her voice thick with emotion. “I stabbed you in the back.”She pressed her lips together, as if trying to hold back more words, but the tears continued
