(Dean)

"So, let me get this straight," Ethan says, bringing his glass down, his eyebrows raised. "You bought those and showed up at Bella's doorstep?" he points at the items I had gone with to Bella's apartment.

"What?" rolling my eyebrows, I drawled, taking a long sip from my glass. "I just wanted to do something nice, you know." I say defiantly.

"And you ended up messing things further up." He locked his eyes on mine, shaking his head briefly.

I leaned back on the couch, restlessness building up in my gut. "I guess," I mutter in a whisper, acknowledging the truth in his words, and then I remembered her words, the part that makes my stomach churn and decided to share.

I run a hand through my hair, the hurt resurfacing. "She said she doesn't love me anymore," I divulged, my voice a little tight as the weight of my words settles over me.

Downing his drink, Ethan gives me a look. "I don't think she meant that,"

(Ivy)I pull up at Sabrina’s house and everything leaves me in awe, aside her impeccable sense of fashion, her choice in designs and sculpture are quite impressive. The mansion stands tall, amidst well kept gardens. The driveway, a long stretch of perfectly laid cobblestone, leads up to the main entrance. I spot a fountain that looks straight out of a luxury magazine.Next to me, Aria clings to my hand, looking around and giggling, she seems to be way more happy being here than I am.With a smile in place, I hold her hand firmly and walk towards the front door, where I see an older man, waiting. As I'm about to respond to his greeting, the large entrance opens and Sabrina practically stride out, her face breaks into a warm, welcoming smile as she spreads her arms.“Oh, my. I'm so glad you're here and in time,” she says as we share a quick hug.And then her eyes fell on a giggling Aria, causing her smile to grow even bigger. “She's so adorable,” she exclaims as she rubs her cheeks gent

(Ivy)Who the hell talks about a one-night stand? He's a weird one, and that's all the more reason why I need to keep him away from my life, our lives. That night, I assessed him, he— he comes off as a huge asshole, cold and ruthless, not one to run after a woman, a stalker. Now, I'm beginning to question that intuition. He's been on about that night, like he hadn't bedded many women after that. What's with these men and pretense?Sighing, I get down from my car, walking over to the front door. I don't have to let this Ethan guy bother me further.I just have to keep up with this act, I'm sure he'd get fed up easily.********I had managed to draw up a new draft and emailed it to Ethan. He didn't respond that day but he did the next morning, his response brief and concise.“Got it, I’ll pitch this to the board and have my assistant schedule our next meeting,”My fingers lingers on the keyboard for a few heartbeat before I finally typed back. Okay, thank you.I drag myself downstairs t

(Rihanna)I stirred, slowly flipping my eyes open and jerked up my body, my eyes finding my watch in an instant.I freeze, realizing that I've been sleeping for three hours, three long hours!Just then, I saw it—- a blanket, it was on my body. Wait, had Edith found me fast asleep and offered to cover me up?It has to be her. Calvin wouldn't have cared if I was dying from cold.I leaped to my feet and stretched my body, quickly folding the blanket back for Edith and then I squint, dragging my fingers through my hair, hoping to stimulate my thinking process. I remember Calvin left to take a call, and— it's been three hours, did he just let me sleep when work isn't done?My question is answered when he suddenly saunters in, his eyes locking onto mine.My mouth went dry and his face remain unreadable as his eyes slowly scanned me up and down.I noticed two things—- he isn't about scolding me for slacking off, and he has two packs of takeout in his hands.I see his mouth open to say somet

(Ethan)“You want to know what I think?” Dean asks over the phone. “Maybe she doesn't want to have anything other than work relationship with you,” he says and I frowned.Cursing under my breath, I mused. “I don't want to have this…. business relationship with her,”“You've made that pretty clear from the word go,” Dean quips back and I catch the amusement in his tone.“Then why can't she see that I want more, her. I've been very much obvious about what I wanted,” I breathed out.“Well, after an insanely long one-night stand with a man like you, I for one would want to stay very far away from you,”I roll my eyes. “I know what you're implying and fuck you,” I say, bringing my glass of wine to my lips.Dean chuckles briefly. “Look, Ethan. I don't know what to say to you, I'm not that much of an expert in this area either, you saw my struggles with Bella But…” he pause and I hear him drag in a sharp breath. “I remember someone telling me that if I want something so bad then I should go

(Calvin)I used to wear the mask of a calculative son of a bitch all the time, I used to wear it so often that it feels like a second skin but all it took to disarm me was just one look at her.It all started the moment she walked into my office introducing herself as my new assistant. I stared at her for a second.Yes, I did. I had immediately noticed how beautiful she was and that pissed me off so greatly that I almost saw red.Never have I in my entire life as a CEO checked any of my staff out, and it mostly definitely wouldn't start with this one.Angry, I did the only thing I knew how to do best. I snapped.I thought hating her, hauling insults at her like I usually do to all my past assistants, making her work twice as hard will quell whatever it was that was brewing inside me.But that hasn't worked out well so far. It got worse, I began to notice little things about her, the color of her eyes, her nails, her outfit for each working day, the way her clothes clung to her gorgeou

(Rihanna)For a second I went silent, my eyes stays on this insanely handsome face that has been taunting my life. This was the first time I was seeing him dressed in anything but his expensive suits. The sleeves of his white shirt were rolled to his arms, his well-defined muscles in full display.Judging from his muscles, I'm sure his body is incredibly well built underneath that shirt and his—-I squint, caught off guard by my own thoughts. I shouldn't be checking him out— I quickly snapped out of it.Steadying my voice, I manage to say. “Good morning sir, the HR asked that I work from your home,“ I tell him, not sure why I feel the need to say that, when he was the one that gave out such order himself. He regards me with a look, and I see a glint in his eyes. I didn't get to recognize what it was when he spoke again.“Come in, Ms. Rodriguez.” he says, addressing me in an official tone. That was all he said before he turned, walking back in.If there's something that I recognized, i
