Ava ~~~~

My eyes shimmered with unshed tears as I lurched deeper into the darkness. Frustration coursed through me as I reflected on my life.

How fate had been treating me was becoming unbearable.

I'm just a cursed girl with just a pretty face. No love, no family, no friends and no mate. All these thought crashed in my head and finally the tears rolled down my cheeks. I had been holding it for a long time, not wanting to allow myself look weak and dejected in front of him.

One would wonder if I could cry in the form I was but I did and my wolf soaked it all in.

At first, I thought he would see a new side of me after the clash but it seemed like I accelerated his hatred even more. He doesn't seem to have affection for me that at times I wonder if I was actually mated to him.

I didn't even know why contracted me as his Luna.

Although he rejected me, I had refused to accept the rejection because I thought he would be different from everyone. But what was I thinking, the ruthless Lycan who despised the werewolves to like me was impossible.

I forced back another bream of tears that had already clustered my vision, letting the wind wash my furs as I raced magnificently to an unknown destination.

I just wanted to stay far away from the pack. I wanted a lone moment for myself and my little brown wolf.

It felt my emotions too, it was equally sad that the world has abandoned us to strive alone.

Come to think of it, I haven't given her a name right?

How could I not give my beautiful wolf a name. Right now, she was the only companion I had in the world.

"Berry" I suggested within as I looked at her glittering dark yellows pupil. She let out a little growl, increasing her speed and I knew exactly that moment that she loved the name.

My wolf was special. Normally, people got their first shift when they turned eighteen but it was a different case for me. My wolf had surfaced this very year when I was already twenty two and incredibly fast and swift.

She halted on her track and I realized that we had stumbled upon the woods. This was the Lycans woods and mountain lions lived here.

Fear cloned me as my eyes scrutinized everywhere. I couldn't hear a sound, only the chirping of insects and the dwindling grasses that collided amongst the other. The gigantic trees which stretched towards the sky and the wild grasses gave it a glorifying yet horrifying look. I could see clearly in the dark because of my wolf and as my eyes rampaged the area, my breathing became unstable.

What if something happens to us, or the mountain lions comes here? My head panicked with unanswered questions. I didn't want to go back to the pack at all, I wanted to stay away from everyone so I pushed the thoughts away as my eyes searched for where I could lay down for the night and there finally, an oak tree stood in the middle of two other trees which had a small pond beside it. I advanced towards it quietly on tiptoes not wanting to awake even the smallest of ants as that would amount to huge problems for me.

Gently, berry made a small clearing with her paws and we settled down then she retreated back to my mind as I shifted back to nature, naked under the shining crescent half moon. I drowned my legs into the pond, lifting my gaze to the sky as I undid the band tied to my hair ponytail.

My ocean blue hair fell freely, cascading down to my waist and making me look like a mermaid under the bright half-moon which also shone on the trees casting their shadows on the ground and creating diverse shades of eerie glooms in the vicinity.

My mind drifted to my younger days when I was still twelve. I had the best family ever, with my mom and dad taking me out on many occasions and celebrating my birthdays in Grand styles but all of that went down to the brink when mom died trying to protect me. Ever since then, my dad hated me and took in a new wife. When he grew tired of seeing me, he gave me off to the Alpha of Blood Moon pack because he knew I had a crush on him.

I had always felt responsible for my mother's death. The memory of the very day she was ripped apart still replays frantically in my head. Her smiles and warm gestures was like a thread stitched to a torn dress.

I missed her, although it's been a long time but I still had her in my memory. Ever since I turned thirteen, I lacked love and care that I had even forgotten what those words meant.

I was barely hanging on a thin thread hoping that once I found my mate, he would fill those gaps of voidness yet everything turned even more sour.

Now I wasn't ready to be weak, I was prepared for any misfortunes that laid out for me in the future, I would gladly thread to it. After all, I've been through much worse situation than anything that is likely to happen in the future.

Suddenly my head began throbbing in pain, I ached my back to adjust my self to the tree I sat on, just then I felt the presence of something behind me. My heart beat began pounding quickly and fear pulsed through my veins. I didn't stand up as I couldn't conjure the morale to look back. I just sat there, slightly convulsing.

My fists tightened as I dug my fingernails into my palms drawing out blood. But just that moment, it seemed like I made a terrible mistake as a sudden roar echoed loudly in the woods and just then my mind gave me only one answer; the mountain lions, run ! and without warning I shifted and soared high disappearing into the darkness in a radical speed.

Unlike before, Berry was faster this time around, she knew that we were in danger. She raced past the wild grasses and some of the leaflets shrieked her limbs earning her wounds but she wasn't fazed as she kept racing. But just as were about to divert into an unknown narrow clearing in the woods, there the battalions dwelled; hundreds of mountain lions stood their sharp brown eyes piercing my own green ones.

I shifted and dropped to the cold ground naked.

I guess this was my very end '.

The glint of hunger that swept through their eyes was unmistakable. I could feel my heart stop for a few moments as they circled around me, each wanting to get a bite of me before the other.

Unanimously they roared and attacked me and I shut my eyes waiting for my end but just then, a mighty howl echoed through the shivering darkness and everything succumbed, I recognized the voice as I fluttered my lids open; it was none other than the Lycan himself.

  • Lycans Alpha Rejected Mate   Creepy happenings

Augus POVI and Medusa had taken off quickly. We no longer waited till night fall. I had insisted on leaving that moment. Somehow an unlikely feeling pierced my whole being. It felt like something wasn't right. I could feel it, its very scarred feeling gnawing closely at my soul. Anytime I felt this way, it usually depicted great danger or calamity. The last time I felt this way was decades ago, when the war broke out. Back then, somehow, some people regarded me as a seer because of how I could predict impending dooms. It was a gift that rarely shows itself and whenever that happens, it'll result to a great loss. Either involving bloodshed or majority of pack members will die. There'll be a great chaos if it eventually happened and I was not ready to let history repeats itself just like years back. I had taken an allegiance to protect the pack and everyone, even if it'll cost my life along the line, as long as I'm able to save even a single soul, then I would be happy to give it

  • Lycans Alpha Rejected Mate   A mole

Augus POVEarly frosty in the morning, I already stood in front of the house, probably wanted to have some sightseeing. The northern pole was a beautiful place to stay, everything about it felt natural, the wild unweeded grasses and the bamboo stick trees made it a captivating place to caress nature. I haven't seen anyone around, it seemed they had retired to rest late last night. I sighed, my mind sauntering back to the conversation I had with Medusa.A girl with a mark below the waist?I had caught only a glimpse of that mark on someone, I would find out when I return to the pack. "Alone, getting some fresh air?". A familiar voice asked from behind. I turned to see Daisy wearing a skimpy short skirt that exposed her fair thighs. She wore a black transparent shirt which stopped at her lower waist, almost in line with the skimpy skirt. I ignored her and faced back to the giant trees I stared at. At the moment, many things occupied my mind and I didn't a third party disrupting them

Augus POV"Now listen, I'll tell you a secret". She bellowed. "Daisy sounds familiar to you right". She asked and I nodded in affirmation. "Daisy and her family isn't originally from Stone Blood pack, they were exterminated from their pack called the Red Moon pack due to an alleged crime they didn't commit". She sighed. "But then they came to Stone Blood pack and through my help, I amalgamated them as one of us""You knew her !". She reckoned. "What?, How? First of all, what do you mean by you are responsible for my lost memories?". I asked the one question that has coursed my mind. "Because I did, it was to save you or you might not be able to handle it, it was for the best Augus but now listen". She began. "Does the name Hazel also ring a bell?". She asked again. "Hazel !". I muttered, the name seemed strangely sweet on my lips and also familiar. "I feel like talking I've heard those names before but I can't recall Medusa". I replied honestly as I felt my head beginning to th

  • Lycans Alpha Rejected Mate   I want to tell you a secret

Augus POV"Get out Daisy!". Medusa growled and without warning, Daisy sprinted off. I was confused and surprised at thesame time. They were really submissive to Medusa?"Why did you intrude, I thought you wanted me to have my best time here?". I asked, standing up not minding about my nakedness as I picked up my shorts from where I threw it earlier. "You should thank me Augus, why would you even do that?". She asked and suddenly the realization hit me. Fuck, I almost fucked a rogue! She seemed to notice my expression and broke into a short laughter. "What made you so aroused for a Beta to want a rogue?". She inquired closely, leaning at the door as I zipped my trousers. "Do you perhaps have someone you were fantasizing about to create such arousal in you because I know it wasn't Daisy that you wanted". "And what if it was the rogue girl that I wanted?". I replied wanting to know her reasons for thinking the girl isn't upto the status quo of igniting the burning flames in me. Alt

Augus POV x-rated scenes ahead "Of course you should go with me or should I tell you more!". I snapped. My feelings were gradually clouding my judgement right now and I didn't realize how far I had gone yet I continued. "Astra is hurting and even now I don't know what might be happening in hybrid pack where I left him".I brooded slumping back to the bed in frustration and tiredness, retracting my claws and shoving my wolf back to my mind. "Well leave at dawn by tommorow Augus but not with rogues, I'll gather them tonight and brief them, they trust and follow my lead as you already know so get ready" She surmised, wiping the tears that stained her face and getting up in the process. "See you at dusk Augus". She reveled and finally left, I stood and locked the door then went back to the bed again. I needed a good rest, it's been tough these days. I didn't understand why one has to go through rough ages just to find happiness. It was cruelly nocturnal! I shut my eyes clos
