Nurse Elizabeth was left alone to look out for herself as Nurse walked away from the scene. To Olivia, the situation is less relevant as she has other important business to tend to.
While Nurse Elizabeth stood, she paid more attention to Dexter than her job. She wasn't even paying attention to the people in front of her. All that ever mattered was Dexter. She was stuck between going to meet Dexter or letting it slide.
Nurse Elizabeth said to herself. "I gotta interfere in this shit and that's final. There's no way I am letting this go away like that. This guy might be dangerous. It's high time someone stops him before it becomes too late," After uttering the words, Nurse Elizabeth left the counter approaching Dexter when Nurse Olivia intercepted her from nowhere.
"Where the heck are you heading to? I thought I told you to let it go.
Why are you so bent on making a mountain out of a molehill? Are you always this annoying? Or did you just choose to act stupid today?" Olivia questioned Nurse Elizabeth like a private investigator.
"And what's the supposed to mean? What's your damn business with what I do? Stay out of my way for good if you don't wanna see the other side of me. This is no joke. I am not gonna speak to you about this ever again," Elizabeth fired back at Olivia at full speed.
She made a brave move to go meet Dexter and Olivia stopped her again. She stood in front of Elizabeth, blocking her exit.
"Do you think this is a joke? Wait a minute, are you falling for him now?" Elizabeth assumed. She didn't know what to say anymore. That was the only thought that crossed her mind after seeing how Nurse Olivia suddenly became overprotective of Dexter.
Dexter was still rooted in profound thought. He wasn't even aware of the havoc he was causing.
"Come on, Elizabeth. Don't be so ridiculous. I barely even know that young man. How do I fall for someone I don't know? Think about it," Olivia defended herself immediately.
"Is that so?
Prove it! Let me go speak to him and I will believe you're telling the truth," Elizabeth dared Olivia. It was a tricky move, and Elizabeth knew that it would be very difficult for Olivia to pass the test.
"This is crazy,"
Olivia muttered succinctly as she bit her lips. She placed her hands below her jawline to think about the crazy challenge from Elizabeth.
"I am waiting.
You surely don't need the whole day to arrive at your decision, do you?" Elizabeth asked Olivia to put more pressure on her.
Without uttering a word, Olivia walked away angrily.
"I guess that's a yes already," Elizabeth spoke from afar as she watched Olivia leave with so much frustration.
"I don't care if she smashes her head against the wall.
What matters is that I won eventually," Elizabeth murmured as she celebrated her small win.
Slowly, she motioned to where Dexter was and waved at him. "Hey,"
She tried all means to call his attention but it wasn't happening. He didn't even act like someone was standing next to him.
Tired of fighting for his attention, Elizabeth stood in front of Dexter to mark her presence. With such technique, she was damn certain that he wasn't gonna ignore her this time.
"I am talking to you.
Are you practically ignoring me now?" Elizabeth tapped Dexter's shoulder, forcing the latter to react in full rage.
"Are you always like this to everyone?" Dexter was infuriated after trying to maintain his cool for so long. He thought staying quiet would be enough to make Elizabeth leave. He had no idea that she's got other plans for him.
"Oh, so you actually can talk? Gosh! I wouldn't have imagined that. For some reason, I thought you were a ghost. It's a good thing that I was finally able to get your attention," Elizabeth used wicked laughter to spite Dexter.
The frustration was too much for Dexter, yet he was able to contain it. He hissed and went to sit at the reception.
Elizabeth didn't hesitate to follow him immediately while Olivia watched as the drama unfolded. She was patiently waiting to see the end of the story.
Seated comfortably, Dexter crossed his legs and took out his phone to press. It was as though he knew that Elizabeth badly wanted to start a fight. From Dexter's composure, it showed that he was ready for her troubles.
"You might need to leave now. You've been loitering around the hospital for a while. This calls for a serious concern," Elizabeth instigated.
Lifting his head, Dexter lamented. "Excuse me? What's that supposed to mean? Are you insinuating that I might be some sort of criminal?"
"When did I ever make such an audacious statement against you? You are the one making stories in your head. I guess that's the guilty conscience eating inside of you,"
Nurse Elizabeth went on to trigger Dexter's anger without minding the repercussions.
Nurse Olivia was glued. She was tempted to separate these two until she recalled the forced assumptions Elizabeth had made about her falling for Dexter.
"Going on out there to interfere in their business would only confirm her assumptions against me. I guess I should just stay put and see the end of this," Olivia thought to herself and remained where she was.
Where she stood, she prayed that Dexter wouldn't end up hitting Elizabeth. She saw how frustrated Dexter was. She felt the anger inside of her despite not being directly involved.
"Look, I've had enough of your drama. If you don't get the fuck out of here this minute, I am gonna do something crazy I would regret," Dexter stood up and confronted Elizabeth.
The heated moment caught the attention of everyone around. Despite the awareness from everyone, Elizabeth never hesitated. She edges closer to Dexter, making a funny gesture with her hands. "I dare you to hit me. Trust me, you will live to regret this for the rest of your life,"
